I'm paper trading this right now and I had the same thing happen. I started over and created a new simulated account making sure it was assigned to a 4 digit server. My live account is 4 digit as well.

for what i understand the 60x90 / 180x100 and the 242 are 2 diferent parts of the system. It's possibile to combine the 2 in just 1 EA? doing exactily what we do manual...

well the 242 isn't exactly mechanical because you are supposed to use recent support/resistance as your next level. that may be at 160 pips or 220 pips away from you last entry. i guess a skilled coder could just use the next level ( a hard - 180 pips away ) and forget about the recent S/R but i think getting an ea to trade at S/R would be tricky. just a guess; if no one codes this up, ill try to get Zen Leow to do it. prob charge a fee but would be worth it.

there are indicators that show the support/resistance. couldnīt that be used?

why dont you jsut fraw support and resistance the old fashioned way ?

Folks, EA's are tools, nothing more. You're still supposed to learn to actually trade. Trend lines and horizontal support/resistance lines are important! Learn them!

So, how'd errbody weather the NFP?

At around 0827 I turned off the EA when I saw the spreads start to widen and let nature take its course on the open positions. 6 positions hit TP during the next 10 minutes. When things settled down, I turned the EA back on.

I first started trading the 108x100 on this past Sunday night with $100. My balance is currently $111.61 and my equity stands at around $106 (a floating loss of around $5-$6). Not too bad for a week's work.

So far I haven't had to rescue any positions as none went any deeper than 2 levels.

Since I'm new to this, I'm wondering if I shouldn't start unwinding all my positions before the weekend especially since I'm sitting on a decent gain. Plus, the weekend comes early this week for US markets due to July 4 being this Saturday. Maybe I should be flat going into Friday.

This would be more flexible and each currency pair orientated than what we do now. Still having some programming glitches in the program though so may not get that one out as quick.

well im trading this live so I made sure to get out before announcement. i had trades running since june30 so i had to get those to equal my gains then i got out. not trading again till monday. let holiday get over. just demo running right now. up 94 pips since starting this live on the 29. can't complain.

im doing a little different than bob though. I don't have to get everything positive. i just want to be positive on the day or session or however long i feel like looking at the screen. if after a few hours im up - ill close all positions no matter where they are at. i am gonna be doing the 242 method in the future when i do decide to let it run longer.

Yes. i can do that and i now how to do that. that's not the question.
the question where is:
this system work! but sometimes you have to take control and change/close the ea and start a recovery system(242 or the recovery EA)

ok!

What i was talking is the possibility to let the system do that for us. Just that! If you let the 180x100 (or another) on during the night, you are sleeping and the EA opens a trade. The market change and now you are losing your money. if you were awake you simple do the recovery steps, but you are sleeping (or away form the pc)... well it's goodby (some) money

I forgot to mention that I'm doing this method naively with no modifications, no attempts to time entries, etc. I just turned on the EA on Sunday night and let 'er ride with all 19 pairs that were part of the 180x100 profile in the published files.

I went ahead and used the CloseAll.mq4 script to flatten all my positions. I had a floating loss of around $6 so I decided to stop trading for the week while I was ahead. Final balance $107.42 after starting with $100 on Sunday.

Not too bad, though I was hoping to have one of my positions get in trouble to try the 242 to recover. Maybe next week.

Started demo early in the week and all seemed to be fine - except - the EA doesn't appear to be opening the second position at +180 pips; see below.
All settings are 'ootb' except lot size adjusted for starting balance.
Take Profit = 100
Max trades = 2
Pips = 180
Any thoughts anyone?

Go into the code and check to see if the line that says Max Trades says 3 or whatever number of levels you want. The line is near the top of the code. After you change the number hit compile button at the top and then drag the new EA onto your screen. Save the new template and then put the new template on the currencies you want to trade. If the EA is not compiled right that maybe the problem.

Hello nanningbob,

I discovered that a new regulation will take effect on 31.07.09.
That regulation forbids the use of stoploss and other limit orders
on US forex broker accounts.
Will you update the 60X90 and other EAs such that they will conform
to that new regulation?

I noticed that even though the system describes a max of 3 levels, the default is set to 2. I'm not complaining since my week went well with 2.
