A thought on S/R

I was thinking about S/R and just how many you levels you could find and thought there could be a better way in which you were to rate, but I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of this and if theres any material that I could read on it?

This topic is so broad, there is no easy way to look at it. It all really depends on strategy. S/R levels can be acquired through pivots (the most common method), fibonacci, channels, or simply looking at which levels pa bounces off the most. There are many more methods out there so please be more specific, what exactly are you reffering to when you say Support/Resistance?

Not sure I understand. Do you mean like rating the strength of S/R based on things like confluence etc.? I have a few thoughts on the subject if so, but also have a rating system for set-ups based on what price is doing as it runs up to the S/R and what it did last time it was at this price level, and in doing so I attempt to predict how price will react to the level. Each set-up criteria is allotted a respective point score:

Trend
R:R
Confluence
Previous price behaviour
Gradient of retracement to S/R
Time of Day
Session momentum
Weekly momentum

and so on.... It at least gives some objective measure of the strength of a set-up and can filter out some of the weaker trades.
