This indicator seems pretty good except The “LONG” or “SHORT” signal on the top line of the indicator does not update automatically. You have to refresh the indicator every so often but the colored blocks seem to work just fine. I'm not much of a coder but it is a decompiled hack of some sort as there is account authorization code. I feel this indicator has potential fr scalping.

Also I run it in conjunction with IN10TION'S News Reader so what I would like to do is make it an on-chart indicator that lines up right under the IN10TION newsreader rather then a separate box below the chart. I feel the entire graphics can be shrunk down to match what IN10TION did with his IN10TION newswreader as they are currently much larger than they need to be and take up way too much space.

Do you think you would be able to clean up the code, fix the “LONG and SHORT” signal not updating properly problem where it doesn’t automatically upate (you have to refresh to give you the most current signal) and match the graphics so it is about the same size in width as the newsreader and can be placed right below it? It definately needs to be reduced in size and be applied to the main charting space, whereever the user wants it to be.

I've noticed there have been several downloads but things are still pretty quiet. If this can be cleaned up and resized to a less obtrusive indicator please post the mq4. Hopefully someone is up to the task. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi AcuProfit, sorry for the answer here but what you ask is half impossible and half very time consuming to do.
The indicator you have is one part of a two part system. it was written by tom yoeman years ago, you can google him as he is still active in the blog and commercial arena. he may be able to offer more assistance then you can get here.
Your first problem is your slowness is for two reasons, your indicator is looking for information from the second missing indicator. secondly although it appears as an indicator it is actually written as an ea. So for it to operate properly you would need to place it in the experts/ea folder and not the indicator folder. you would also need to activate the dll feature and the trade live feature. it will not actually place any trades it is just the way it was written.

second problem is it draws information from sources that are not chart related and that is why it can only operate in a second window and not on the main chart.

third problem would be all those boxes, would have to be changed individually to change the overall font size, while it could be done it would be time consuming to do.

you may want to go back to the place you found this and see if there is more there on the second indicator and maybe an update for size and usage, or look up tom yoeman for help.

so now my question would be since you have no idea what this indicator is telling you, why are you using it? ( i am guessing maybe you do)

I would suggest you find an indicator that will tell you what is happening, versus red and green boxes. you can look up some of ferrufx's earlier work before he went commercial. he had some very useful indicators. you can also look up cobras thv system, there is also some very good work there. at least then you can have some informational indicators that you can understand. you can also look at some of the work tro has done, you won't find him here but you can google "tro" to find his site. if you like digital you may like what he has.

Happy trading
tom

OK TOm. I see your points. I use it for scalping but a stochastic oscillator tells you about the same info I guess. I guess it is a flashy gadget that just reinvents the wheel.Touche. I will learn to live without it.

Cheers
