...and when you stick to the rule, it pays off (will exit by NY closing).

I was waiting for the price action near weekly s1...but the penetration was good enought to keep the short signal.

INDI IS CRASHING MY MT4 DEMO

tried to add the indicator and is not working. Tried in old MT4 and then in a new one, and the same:

I am still holding my trade on EURUSD since last friday. It's over 300 pips now. I enter based upon the indicator only at 15 min chart

bit confused in the poll you said that this thread was no help to you but you are 300 pips in the green so im sure that this thread has helped

I was having the same problem, I updated to the most current build 224 within my MT program and then it worked. If you have not done this, open your MT4 application, then click the start button on the "LiveUpdate" window. It should update to the current version and then restart the program. Then the indicator should work and not cause a crash.

this thread doesn't help me at the moment , only the indicator does it magic for me.

The question for the poll is, is this strategy profitable for you. The strategy includes the indicators. So you've made 300 pips. I'm assuming that you've lost more, Is that right?

Please refer to my previous post where i posted my equity chart. If i follow the strategy here , it's not possible to make 300 pips in 1 trade. The highest record of my backtest was 700 pips gain in 1 trade risking less than 20 pips.

I only concentrate on EURUSD 15M chart using only the indicator for entry. It's working quite well. I only focus on my SL and I don't really care about TP becoz I let the profit run by itself. I make sure that when it's ranging I don't loss a lot of pips. When there is a big trend , my entry is always near the start of the run, that is what a trend system suppose to do isnt it ? Let say there is a 1000 pip run without any major pullback, I am sure it will catch around 700 - 900 pips and I will move my stop along the way becoz like i say i only focus on the SL.

I don't trade GBPJPY becoz of the spread. If it's ranging , i will keep opening and closing position frequently , losing around 5 -20 pips [including spread]. The small spread on EURUSD allow me to open and close without losing too many pips. If i use the same strategy to trade GBPJPY, i might loss over 100 pips easily due to the spread and it's harder to place SL when doing a sell due to the big move on spread.

I had backtest for a period of over a year and it make money in a long run. The equity chart I had posted earlier it's not 100% accurate becoz some big lost occur on news time [e.g. interest rate,NFP] and weekend gap. So amount of money gain is actually more than what it show.

btw, I am trading this live now at 30 cents per pip. I guess I don't really need so much demo forward test since my entry is pretty straight forward. Backtest is good enough. If there is a run , I am pretty sure I'm on it. I will only loss money if it range like in Feb which I don't think will happen right now.

I generally trade $50 a pip on short term trades, and as much as $1k a pip on long term trades.


Plus it helps to trade at 1:500 leverage
