Yes. If your computer has a Troy virus, it can copy your keyboard strokes and record your personal data in your computer , these info can be sent to a hijacker's computer via internetbut, but not the mouse clicks. So an anti-virus software in your computer is a must.

I am using "avast!" anti-virus software, free home version. It is quite good.

fti, keystroke and mouse broadcasts over the internet is enabled automatically only for those who buy new computers wearing shorts and thongs (flipflops).

I haven't used the program, but it looks like it would only need to send the info over your LAN.

ic, so they communicate over the LAN.

But I do not use LAN, all my comps are connected direct to Mio(isp hub), in effects my LAN resides with my isp.

So it would seem that I may have to reconfig, my network structure if I wanted to use synergy software, correct?

Otherwise, the communications can be intercepted from my existing structure?

That's an interesting setup. I would imagine you could direct the program to broadcast the keystrokes to the separate Mio IP addresses of each computer, if you trusted them with that information. Latency/lag time might also be an issue then. Otherwise you are correct, probably the best way would be to get a router that you could connect to locally, then all the information would be shared only on your internal network, so it would be safe as long as none of your machines are compromised.

Well received and Understood, thanks usw.

I think best to leave all the comps as individuals, rather than have them in one basket, wouldn't you agree. Moreover they are assigned specific task and do not need to communicate with each other, moreover if they needed to it can be done thru their individual ip adresses.

I doubt it fti. You may plug everything into one box but that box is likely to be your broadband WAN link and LAN switch in one. Basically, all internet traffic goes through the WAN link and all local traffic is done internally.

yes, and on 2 isps for backup, in case one isp poops. One phone is on digital while another is on analog, also for backup.but in case of countyr wide line down, then I use line to above and pray.

u can get a switch which connects all ur comp into lan ...

Big money = Big redundancy

Trading computers have 1 function, no other programs, exception anti virus protection and don't get surfed on the net.

yeah, got household network and trading network.

they are paired 4X4, some sytems are workstations some are higher end. Still got my apple 2e, but that chaps dust trap only, just like me, retired from active service.

If I connect all to a LAN, then if LAN poops, I will have a rewiring nightmare. Its better to have dedicated systems. The Mio can WiFi, but I only allow wifi for PSPs, No notebook allowed. Sorry very mindset.
So even hackers won't know where to go. sometimes even myself.
If one out of service , I go to the other.

That's how the basic defeats the complex I was thinking to suggest using Virtual Machine, but now I think your solution is better

Surfing done on family comp. They can hack that ones as much as they like. Full of Junk to keep them busy for years. This the one I am on now.

If your 2 isps share the same international network gateway, it still has a potential problem, if the gateway is down, or submarine cables is disconnetced.

But the fixed phone (not mobile phone) is very reliable, the telecom companies have backup main switch system and backup power.

You said you have an anolog phone? It is impossible. All phones are digital now.

One phone is on direct to the phone plug. Others are plugged to curcuit to mio. If power supply poops, only the one to the phone plug works. Power supply poops. mio sleeps. Thank goodness the power supply here is very reliable. Even half hour interuption, they give 3 days advance notice.

Singapore so nice , last time I had power problem it lasted few hours , had to run to nearest starbux to trade

Use UPS battery. During normal days, it protect computer from sudden power surge. When power failure happens, the battery provides a period of time, longer enough to continue trading or close position. Smallest ones gives at least 15 minutes. The one I use gives 2 hours. I'm sure there are bigger ones.
