I agree with Steve. $1,000 would be fine with fxdd. I haven't had a drawdown larger than 1,600 pips, which isn't bad. I am at the end of my 4th week using V1 and I am up around 78% profit. I am doubling my lot size to 0.02 when I reach $175 US. I started with $88 on May 18th. I may add $500 to my account and increase to .05 lot size. I have not changed anything to my robot. I use Build 223 IBFX. Afraid to change it. I still have StrengthInProfitClose and StrengthInLossClose enabled. Should I disable those two?

Hi Steve,

I'm demoing the ea on Alpari.
By the end of the week I'll post results.
I close down the positions on Friday which have both been positive so far.
Observations have shown that it closes negative baskets but seems to let positive baskets run . Not sure if my settings are correct for it to close positive baskets at a profit automatically.
Could you look at my set file please. I have set it for 5 digit.

Looks as though your TP settings are too high - did you mean $300 or did you actually intend $30?

Alpari is 10 cents a pip, aren't they? Your tp settings are looking for 3000 pips at 0.01 lots, an impossible target I think. Even a tp of $30 means the robot is waiting for +300 pips - huge. Adjust the tp's to $10 to represent c. +100 pips and you will find successful baskets closing automatically.

I am going nowhere near build 224 for now, either.

I have wired £50 (about $80) to take my account over the $200 mark so I can up my lot sizes to 0.02 and the tp's to $2. Starting with a tiny account is a good way of road-testing this robot; if it can make the money grow, then we are onto a winner.

As to the closure thingy, I have them both turned off because baskets have eventually turned profitable even after long periods of dd. This might mean being less successful long-term because I get locked into positions for days on end, days that might have seen several baskets closing successfully and more tha wiping out the loss. Neve mind; the balance is heading north and this is what I want.

Your question made me realise that turning off StrengthInProfitClose is a clear mistake. If a strongbasket has not hit tp at the point the robot is about to start validating a weak basket, then closing it in any proft has to be a good move. I shall make this the default in future.

I can see nothing wrong in the set file. The broker appears to be a 4 digit broker, so it isn't the maximum spread.

Your display shows zero values; this is incorrect. Zero values do occur, but not for long and rarely simultaneously. If the robot is not getting values from the indi, then it cannot trade accurately.

Have you got KG RS GROUP V1.1 in your indicator folder? If not, the robot will not work. Drag it onto a chart and see what values it shows. Give it a couple of minutes to sort itself out and post another pic.

Your choice of chart is a bit odd. That GJ is the best is well-documented here.

Also remember Range/Original trading is a 1H strategy, so your chart is also the wrong tf.

OK, Steve, so the choice of charts the EA is on matters? I did not know that. I have the RS Goup Files for each currency, is KS RS Group v1.1 different from those?

What do I need to change to make it work for 4 digit broker? Do I change the max spread?

I am very hopeful to make this work.... You believe it is much better than AshFX EA, right.

Hehe. You sure are. Well done for finally achieving The Error. This question has only been answered about 500 times already in both threads.

For bloody-minded determination, I will offer you this: you can ignore this error. Frankly, you should know why but clearly you don't. The answers can be found in the threads by anyone actually reading them and not merely claiming to read them. Experience shows me that merely providing the answers is a waste of time.

Assuming yours is a demo account, you might like to turn on a few more triggers and up your maximum trades. If not a demo, then carry on being conservative until you know what you are doing.

I am really sorry to sound like some sort of arrogant I-know-better-than-you s**t. Thing is, this robot can kill the accounts of people unwary enough to overtrade it.

If you cannot even load it up properly, you sure as heck cannot even begin to use the robot.

If you do not understand the underlying strategy, for sure you cannot trade the robot successfully. I will carry on banging on about this as long as necessary.

Here is what will happen. The robot will make demo money. After a stupidly short period of time, you will transfer the robot from your demo to your live account. It will make some money, but you will become impatient.

You will up your risk because you do not understand the nature of the robot you are using to trade. For a while this will work, possibly. Sooner or later, probably sooner, the markets will move against you and your over-exposure will result in a market call and loss of your account.

Guess how I know this will happen?

More experienced and better traders than I reading this, are already nodding their heads because they know exactly how. They know that I made the same, in my case, costly mistake. I even paid for the bloody EA that killed my account, along with the so-called 'customer service' that came with the exorbitant fee. I blanche at my naivety.

This is why I am so insistent that people come to understand the underlying strategy before trading the robot. In my own tiny way, I am trying to protect them from themselves.

Hey, look on the bright side. At least this robot will kill your account for free. Most charge you several hundred dollars for the privilege.

So, Gary, this is my last reply to you about how to set up the bot. From here on in, you are on your own. You can ask as many daft questions as you want; others may help but I shall not. Just don't hold me responsible if your own lack of willingness to do the required reading results in your account being wiped. You have been warned.

Which triggers should I have as TRUE? all of them?
I only have USD and JPY, could that be a reason it is not trading?

Suggest you call your broker or try another broker. The indicators and ea work fine.

I have been fighting this for 2 weeks.... Steve thinks I have not read anything when in truth, I have re-read everything including this forum more than twice. I installed this on FXDD and Alpari - trying both ea's and they started working find.

Is anyone else using this on Forex.com? I doubt it because I have been killing myself trying to make it work.

Thank you very much for the suggestion.... i was sure it was a setting that was wrong and i was not getting much help.

Alpari or FXDD

Any reasons why one would be better than the other.
Alpari = 23 pairs
FXDD has 23 but 3 of them are pairs I do not think we trade XAUUSD, XAGUSD, and USDMXN.

So I would say Alpari has more pairs to trade.

In all your notes you talk about OrderReliable.mqh and OrderReliable.mq4 but in the zip file in the first page with the EA it is called LibOrderReliable.mq4 and LibOrderReliable.mqh. So are we suppose to rename these files. Why do you refer to that with a different name than in the file we download for the EA?

I had a pleasant surprise when I woke up a few minutes ago. After a couple of days when my stuck baskets remained resolutely stuck, xxxJPY woke up overnight and closed the stuck basket, then opened and closed three more.

+389 overnight. Nice.

I caught it because I have read this thread 4 times and keep running across that. LibOrderReliable.mq4 is correct. Thank you.

Question. Are you using Daily Cross or Range EA?

The OrderReliable files in the Zips are called LiborderReliable.mg4 and mgh in the zip file for DC and OrderReliable.mgh only for the Range EA.

Correct?
