If it helps, the last time I saw such rapid movements without retrace, we hit 118. Remember, pros sell on strength and buy on weakness.

I am sad things are not going well for some of us even me i was short but later close it with loses, i have been looking at this chart and on my weekend analysis this is where i see gj going before we go down and come back up again to 50 ema on monthly chart will be a target...

I don't think ther is much doubt that 160 won't be tried, that is the target on the daily UPTL, hopefully can make some pips shorting this thing at the 157.85 I'm in at first.

Geez...

I bit the big one as well. All my analysis was thrown out the window.

Here's what I dont get. GM files bankruptcy, the largest company is US history to do so. Construction numbers come out real good and through the roof goes U/J and the DOW. WTF...?? I just dont get it. I just dont see how this could keep going on.

Bank holidays=low volume.

Low volume=manipulation.

Yes you are also right. I was looking at another fibonachi retracement taking into account the highest and lowest points since 2007. I do not believe there is a perfect right or wrong here, all is speculation. If you draw it from the middle as you suggested, then she can still go up to 50% around 167.3 before she will come down. My point is that we are in a very strong up trend, and I do not see short signals at the moment. Maybe the low volume high prices as Malcolm explained can be taken into account, and she can drop due to overpriced or something, but I guess she will have to give us some kind of signal that she wants to come down first.

Just my 2 cents.

Wow I have been researching Wyckoff and VSA for a little while and when I tried to use it today there was no rhyme or reason. I figured I was wrong and needed to start over. Good to here that it is not just me having a hard go at it.

Somebody's manipulating something, the only other pair seeingg this kind of action is GBP/CHF and it appears no end in site. I haven't been around that long but a yeaar and can say I haven't seen anything like this excpet a month ago when the GBP/CHF dropped 300 pips in a day and another 200 the next for no apparent reason. At this point I'm at a loss as to where tp bail or put backstop pther then I figure this can't run like this forever. Who are the crazy buyers buying at this level and why?

Somebody tell me when to go short as today has burned me bad and stung on another 80 pips. Took me for a huge percentae today, not good. I'm stunned. I guess in hind sight there was no reasson to short as no evidence existed anywhere on the chart to confirm one so pretty stupid to have shorted on a hunch. Thats' what we get I guess

Hmm i love volume and due to that i went to subscribe for esignal so i can have a good data feed for my chart, but in a day like this volume is useless as malcolmb says ....i have been looking at smaller tf but the volume is not for me to buy all the same gj move up with low volume...i was short but cus loses ...but GJ as dont well on the technical side so let see how it play 160 is on the way new price level for this month i am thinking of a short on 55ema weekly chart so let see how it play

You are correct but the fact is that it is all being "sold" as one "good news" package and the (stock) markets buy it. It's all stock market driven I think.
That's the thing I blame myself for as I underestimated this GM happening being sold as "fantastic" news.

Another one of those days where following the goddam trend at ANY stage has u making greens .. very frustrating to be thinking "retrace, retrace retrace" and none forthcoming ... and miss very simple pips ..
