it depends..but usually i enter on break of 4hr and set my sl behind 4 hr if it matches with a round number...

I loved this pair lately, had a long trade on one of those uptrend bounces for a few hundred. I'm interested to know how much of that is influenced by the crude prices since there used to be a stronger correlation I believe. Anyways nice pair, nice chart

Hi CW,

looks like a nice pin on the 4 hour eurgpb chart. long nose. off decent pivot zone. is this pair headed lower? maybe. it is Friday though so pin is not likely to be broken to the downside today.
also it's with the trend (trend on this pair has been bearish since end of Dec 08) although long term trend is bullish.

I feel like this is what CW was talking about a couple pages back about having those contradicting signals like the recent GU one.
The bearish pinbar is nice here, but looking at the daily we have a two day bullish pinbar off of the strong support that's a part of the triangle.
My take would be to wait, especially since it's Friday because the direction is not clear yet.

Nicely pointed out (2 day pin) Jonaslt. I had missed that fact. CW has highlighted these scenarios in the past, most recently with the 4 hour cable pin that he said to stay away from (and that pin has since failed).

BINGO. EXACTLY. I love this pair to be honest, and enjoy trading it.....but I see an THICK area we are sitting at.

My sucky broker doesn't offer CAD/JPY.....but the GBP/CHF is just taunting me with this "wishy-washy" crap. But.....it seems that pairs that do this kind of action will sooner or later become a DEAD OBVIOUS trade.

When this thing decides what it wants to do, I expect to make a lot of money off of it.

CW, the audusd seems to be at an interesting area. we have the 0.8000 round number. close to 50% retrace. maybe PA will show the way, short or long, in the coming week.

How about this 2 day pin at a important weekly Pivot Zone.

  1. 2 day pin, nice shape, long nose, close below 95.50
  2. rejection of weekly PPZ around 96.00
  3. weekly charts has been moving down after 61% Retracement (3rd chart)
  4. weekly trend bearish

But we do have a shorter term PPZ with resistance around 94.50 that any shorts will invariably encounter.

Agreed. And to be honest, there are a few pairs lining up. Should be some moves soon.
