DislikedI recently came across this thread and now I'd like to find all out about VSA.
I read through Tom Williams "Master the Markets" and think that I have a very basic gist of it, but surely it will take a bit more effort to fully grasp the material.
Got myself the BetterVolume indicator and wondered what things like
"high churn" mean.
Searched this thread and googled it but to no avail.
Has anyone anywhere a list which explains those terms?
Also would anyone have by any chance a compact list explaining terms like "stopping volume", "effort...Ignored
DislikedThanks for your comprehensive answer.
I've been there already, else I wouldn't have asked.Ignored
DislikedThe guide is listed in the resources section. I think that's what they were trying to say.Ignored
DislikedHi ShamusFamous,
Thanks for having set up this site to discuss VSA and educate traders about it, I think it's a good thread and I'd like to learn more about VSA.
Regarding the questions, yeah, I thought that he'd assumed that what I asked for can be found in the first post.
Essentially I asked 3 questions:
1) What does "high churn" mean? (and the other colour codings on the Better Volume indy)?
Couldn't find it, neither on post #1 nor elsewhere in the thread or google. Of course it could be that I missed it on post#1, in which...Ignored
DislikedClassic example on the EUR this morning GMT. Market makers trapping the novices into poor positions and grabbing those stop loss orders. Volume says it all.Ignored

DislikedI don't think he was patronizing you, I think he was just stating that the guide/answers you sought are in fact listed on the first post. I then clarified to tell you where within the first post it was ie the "Resources" section at the bottom.
If you look under "indicators" you will see a couple of links regarding BV and it's use.
PS In regards to a quick definition of Stopping Volume, There is a quick guide for MTM (Thanks ForexFlash)
To find that... Click the paperclip symbol up at the top of each page of this thread, then click hide...Ignored
DislikedThanks for hanging in with me Shamus, gotta apologise for my rant to you and mima cos the guides really are in the indicator section on post #1.
Also found the definitions on stopping volume etc., the pdf called VSA Basics.

DislikedFairly sure that was UK news related. Very bad news for the UK this morning (250+ pip drop in 10 minutes bad)
In any case some people in the chat got some nice vsa short signals on gu and gj just prior to the move and rode it down.Ignored
DislikedI recently came across this thread and now
Is professional money just waiting to move higher and taking a breather after the thrust upwards or is the move exhausted and waiting to drop?
I mean there appears buying in the background and overall upward impetus, so I'd be inclined to think its gonna go higher.
But then again, price can always go in any direction and I could have missed something.
Would appreciate if someone who's confident of what they talk about could give us their take on it.
