News Time question

How long does news time usually take?
I know it depends but should it take more than 30 minutes or so.
Just want to know the average time so I can disable my EA.

Wow that is a really tough one because it depends. First off it depends on the news level. For example Non Farm Payroll or an interest rate decision can take a couple of hours to reach a peak or bottom but other times the markets hardly react. Orange levels are very iffy because it could be abnormal and move the markets for hours. Green levels rarely move markets, but once again if it comes in a lot differently than expected it could move the markets.

To be on the safe side I would wait out the Red and Orange levels and once you see they are finished moving the markets than you could turn it back on.

Bottom line is that there isn't a time frame you can set and be safe. The markets move on there own accord.
