I would like to run different EA's on different broker mt4 platforms at the same time on my laptop. It seems that when I have both platforms open, I am only able to run one of them and the other will not execute.
Is this typical for mt4?

Can this be done?

Any number of platforms can work simultaneously without interfering with each other unless you exhaust system limits like memory, file descriptors, etc.

unless your OS prevents you from running too many applications.
there is one variant of vista that allows just 3 applications. maybe you were unlucky, your version allows only 1.

LOL the infamous 3 app netbook version of Windows 7. MicroBOSS says pay for an upgraded OS or only run 3 apps (and they wonder why Linux and Mac sales are up while Windows OS sales sink). They just don't know when to quit.
