DislikedHey guys posted this in no brainer trades, but thought I'd post the message here too. I trade support & resistance, and would like to further my understanding of volume as it relates to price action and market flows.
Read the mtm pdf, I am just trying to boil down the concepts and mesh them with my understanding of long term and near term support and resistance.
This was a level marked on the aussie dollar today, my understanding is that when price reached support volume greately increased, suggesting accumulation of aussie dollars (an absorbsion...Ignored

From the H1 chart i see multiple weakness in the back ground, in demo i sold at the top, but to be sure i m waiting for a break of the bullish trendline. imho, we are very close for it.Ignored
DislikedThere's no way anybody can use these VSA indicators without knowing what they are doing..---i couldn't---except they like staring at volume indicators--annd if that's the case--that would be reallyy wiiieerrdd--lol-
I feel like am flying a Jet--really pretty-- flash--i know much work went into it--so thanks again
Good night everybodyIgnored
Dislikedhey, even though i m a real newbe with VSA, i will try an analysis. If someone want to correct me, he is welcome
From the daily chart, i see that pros are not supported the last move up. But could be that IBFX daily volume is not accurate?

Hope that s help you ferrari, though i have a bullish bias on Aud.Ignored
Dislikedhirek, was hoping that someone with more VSA experience would answer your question, but that hasn't happened so far. I'm pretty new to VSA also - but here's some thoughts...
Your charts appear too zoomed out.
I think the general theme is that you take what the very latest volume bar(s) are in relation to the few before it - whilst also paying attention to background weakness/strength.
In your 1-hour chart example, it seems too zoomed out. You have highlighted the peak volumes - but to me, they are only a small part of VSA. Also, I think...Ignored
DislikedOk all you pro's,
I am convinced that all the time and money I have spent on indicator analysis was for naught (except that is was part of my overall education) and my current think (thanks to you guys - FOREXflash, Shamus and others) is laser-focused on VSA/VSH.
I just wish I knew what was bouncing back off the "laser"! Can someone give me a brief description of what, maybe not so much WHAT, the colors of the VSA bars mean and how to interpit them. I assume the green part is buying vol, red=sell, orange is?the difference?. Looking at the standard...Ignored
Disliked15 min gives very good picture of what is going on and often tops and bottoms of markets are spotted using a 15 min . Then the tradei s taken on a 5 min
here is gj SELL . I have done VERY well in 3 days and have told my self that I am not trading ... tough to keep out when these easy trades are presentIgnored
DislikedA couple of thoughts...
I find the Better Volume indicator the clearest, and from what I can gather, is the one used by most others - which makes things easier.
Not to blow my own trumpet or anything, but the post I made here shows a good example of the type of things I look out for when using VSA.
I pretty much watch volume on 15-min exclusively.
I pretty much watch volume on EUR/JPY exclusively.
[b]I have found that there are a lot of...Ignored
DislikedI have been looking at ForexFlash's TickVolume indi since he posted it. I think it's a great indicator. The problem I have is that I never get the same info with it that others have posted. There is never the substantial difference between buyers and sellers on my charts that I've seen others post. I am using an IBFX live account, and I thought that it was one of the best with respect to volume data. Am I doing something wrong?Ignored
DislikedHere are my thoughts on Yuppie's--i would have waited a while to have a Good clear signal on the EURJPY---if i was trading the 15 minutes chart exclusivelyIgnored
DislikedmAGNUS ..... ...... NICE POST !!!!!!
Newbies take note I focus mostly GJ , last few days my VSA skills are becoming fine tuned and i have been trading UJ and GU with my 6 screen set up , when only the best signals present themselves.
Focus on one pair ... read EVERY volume bar and think about what it means. Just cause we do not get a clear vsa signal on a volume bar does not mean that it does not mean something. Consider the VSA triggers as the beginning and end of the book and very volume bar inbetween the story !!!Ignored
Dislikedyou have your no demand bars a little confused with reversal after effort to rise. The very best no demand bar set ups do not come along that often
here is a very clear no demand bar the volume has to be really low to be a good trigger .. this one was for 100 pip

DislikedNow we are geting somewhere.....keep on posting guys!!!
And yes, analysing single pair gives you a "feeling" about its movements.
And second most important thing is ROUND NUMBERS.....remember that exits from trades are sometimes more important than entry.

DislikedI agree about exits. I find MML lines to be an excellent place to look for an exit.
I watch the way the price reacts around them and if the volume seems to be sufficient to get through. If not I close and await the next train.Ignored
