More on the useless piece of garbage G7, but they can mess with our lil pips here....

08:59 Definately feels like a what now, type of scenario. We just saw the G-7 ministers on financial TV and dont they look smart! On the table this weekend is a myriad of issues, none of which we think will amount to anything. But it may be the ministers who are NOT there that provide the most interesting insights. The chinese are currently too busy with internal issues to make the trip. A little puzzling really. And the German finance minister is more interested in the African Safari, that what US Treas. SEc hank Paulson has to say about the state of the economy. A little slap in the face at this G-6 weekend.

So, basically we may not see a trend develop until Monday and expect this choppy stuff all day and Sunday?

bravado is feeling extra happy this morning. I got some r&r too, but rode some dips and have 90+ pips on EURUSD and GPBUSD since yesterday. So the answer to your question is ME

Does any one think that we will see 235 and possibly 234.75 todays low some time today? and how a good reading from the michigan indicater (Consumer Sentiment) might contribute to re-testing the low, thanks for your support.

About the USD Index cesar..it's not much use unless you can prove it is a self-fullfilling speculation tool. Because of the way EUR is weighted in in that index you can practically turn the EURUSD chart upside down and that's your index.

Dollar is shooting up against the Yen. Same for euro et al. I'm long USDJPY.

PS Anyone know why this is happening..sudden movement?

Used USD index to base my trades. I spent this week holding mixed positions that would crack in an event of carry trades selloff..

As USD remained the theme, carry trades rest and I profited on the overlapped trends GBP (big time) bullish / USD (big time) bearish.

USD index showed USD was all but wanted. As long as it stayed this way, I was adding dollar short positions at pullbacks

That's what I tell people when they want to understand "trend". They keep looking at tech B.S. instead of understanding how the overall market "sentiment" is TRENDING. How the econommic indicators are TRENDING, how other pairs/USD are TRENDING. That's trend, not "RSI crossing 50 in the M5" crap.

The TREND was much more dollar bearish across the Universe. It only happened to add to GBP and EUR strongly up bias on the expected rate hikes for May and June.

And we haven't seen the top. GU's target is 2.0000 and EUR is 3600 in the minimum ahead of the rate statements.

From now on it's all about last minute speculation and positions exitings ahead of the weekend. nasty environment to trade. I'm out.

I absolutely agree that it will be a choppy market, but we've seen so much selling off of USD this week, now there is a pretty good idea where the cap is before the weekend is over (1.3550 EUR 1.9880 GBP). Since most people that longed it are closing out their positions, should'nt we see quite a dip down? As I'm posting this the Cable is down to 1.9820
