What is bank holiday?

Usually when do they start and end, and which country will have it?

Does stock market close, or just the forex is effected in these countries?

These are National holidays, it means a day when the banks and financial institutions are closed.
Starting to see instead of just looking.

it means don't trade. as there will not be liquidity present in the markets 2 move prices.

It seems only UK's bank on holiday since last Thursday.

And japan starts its own bank holiday This monday only.

Correct?

And their stock market is not open as well due to bank holiday.

this week is japan's golden week. it's a week of holiday 4 the whole of japan. for the brits i'm not sure, gotta check.
