Where to start? advice needed.

Dear all, I am an aspiring FX trader and have been siphoning through thread after thread, site after site trying to gain a base of understanding within FX. I am having some trouble getting the general idea behind the obvious picture of buying and selling. I was wondering if anyone knew of a thread of another site that kinda just gives the basic definitions of fx terms, what graphs mean, etc etc... I am sorry if this comes off as a REALLY dumb question, but we all have to start somewhere.

while i certainly know, site restrictions prohibit mentioning other sites, and while this is where you come once youve grabbed some concepts, youre up agains a whole new language, culture and concepts.

so google for "forex beginners" and seek a site that includes the word "baby"

then come back here after you spend time there because their best teacher is now here !

Better yet or in conjunction with that site, I would make sure you go thru this one at least twice or until you feel like "you get it". It's right here at the Factory --> Help for Newbies. What can you learn on Forex Factory?

In fact, I'm surprised you didn't bump into it on the way to starting your thread... The Forex Articles and Acronyms Stickies are pretty good too. You sure you didn't see those already?

One other one that is less obvious but a Must Read at some point in your Journey is The Structure of Forex Brokers by Darkstar.
