Hi Shaun

Looking at the individual currencies first, then choosing a pair is a good way to go.
The Aussie is strong and the dollar weak, at the moment, making Aud/Usd a good long. The dollar is gaining on the yen, at the moment, making the yen the weaker of the two (dollar and yen). So it follows that the Aud/Jpy is a good long as well. And the spread's not bad.

Of course anything can change and we still need a good entry. Just calling attention to an overlooked pair.
