DislikedThe Aud/nzd has a varying spread and can range from 14 to 40. So if the first line lets say enters with a 14 spread and the second line opens with a 30 spread this will affect the distance. (an extra 16 pips)There is a post earlier called nanningbob v. 1.9. He has put spread control in the program so you should have less problems with it. I am demo testing his program now and if it works this week I will post the different variables.
Another thing, once price enters, the lines are frozen from that point even though price keeps moving and lines...Ignored
DislikedI ran the 60x90 originals on a demo and did not take any major hits this last week. So lets see whats up. Check are you with a 5 decimal or 4 decimal broker? IBFX demos are now 5 decimals but their lives are still 4. I did that once and the program lost money for a couple of days until I discovered that was my problem. I hope to be posting an EA that can do both 4 and 5 decimal brokers. It is the nanningbobv1.9 posted earlier in the thread. I plan to use it full time if it continues to past the demo test. It has some great features added by the...Ignored

Hope Bob will clarify on this.Ignored

DislikedCharvo, thanks for the advice.
This week I'm dropping chf/jpy and only trading the 4 majors, the history of this ea is that it wins +85% of the time on the first two steps so this week I'm only playing 2 steps. My loss will be -202 and hopefully the wins will far exceed the losses. .Ignored
Dislikedi have a few ideas to help
(1) we need a stop trading setting that finishes up with the trades we are in. and adds retraction trades if needed but does not start a new trading group.
this would be good for news days and weekend.
(2) some form of spike indicator that can be set to dump trades or stop trading
(3) some form of trend indicator, (i have thought about this and i think something that may help is the MA distance to entry, this number could be changed as it goes farther into the trend)
you know trade with the overall trend.Ignored
DislikedHas anyone else been having trouble whenever simply changing the input parameters getting the ea to do trades?
I don't know why it does it, but it seems like every time I make changes it gives me grief in executing trades.
I went to the tools- options- experts- and made certain that the appropriate boxes were checked and/or unchecked.
Any ideas to fix this problem?Ignored
DislikedTry this one (FX Predictor). I use it with great success. Supposedly, it is not a lagging indicator and it gives you the percentage of the candle/bar buy/sell strength along with the countdown for the current bar.Ignored

DislikedI totally agree with DMJ.
It would be really nice to have a stop trading setting with a timed execution and also sensitive to spiking in the wrong direction of the trade.
Unfortunately, I don't see how one could really code something like that other than using the current stop loss.
Really excellent ideas DMJ!Ignored
DislikedPretty good day for the settings from above. Lost twice today (-210 x 2 = -420) and ended up +214. That 2protect ea kept me out of a couple real losers, playing ea 24/5 for right now. I'll keep you informed....Ignored
