based on the way i have this chart did i play it the way the ib is usually played with a trendline breakdown. 2 ib's in a row right on the trendline. Played the break below trendline/low of first ib. Trade worked out but want to make sure this is how the experienced guys saw it.

depends - 1.15000 is a powerfull round number so it is possible. It is in my attention - a reversal is more likely. but if he will brake the suport a new target at 1.03000 will become available.

Seems like we're going towards parity at this point.

I realize this thread is mostly about technical analysis, but I have something interesting to share regarding some intermarket analysis. One should consider the possibility of a USDCAD reversal to the upside for a number of reasons:
1. CAD has been the only major currency to rally recently and COT data shows no increase in net positioning during this period, indicating that there was little power behind this move. (Note the chart is CAD/USD not USD/CAD)
2. Crude hasn't recovered in the same confident manner that CAD has and the two are normally closely correlated
3. Gov Carney and the Bank of Canada are still worried that the Canadian economy is not out of the woods and are defending against further downside in USDCAD

We'll see how USDCAD reacts to the big previous low at 1.08.

I bought some looney for the RSI cross and EMA 21 .

long term position on ucad with nice setup..entry 1..0866 sl 1.0740

I still have not seen any convincing signals (change in sentiment) to go long USD/CAD yet so I'm still square on this pair. It seems like a couple of you "take-profit" and "donfriday" found some technical signals to go long-cool!
