What are the disadvantages of Forex trading?

Hello dear fellows i am a newbie i have experience on sports betting and i would like to find some more solid type of investment like the Forex and i would like to use your experience and kind to ask some questions
the first one is what are the disadvantages of the forex system?
A lot of people are trying to tell me to use the spread betting system any comments from you people?

Trading psychology can pose some disadvantages, considering money management and or discipline. Once you switch from a demo account to a real account, all bets are off. You may find yourself at a disadvantage considering using your betting skills in the Forex market. Apples and oranges sir. Forex ain't easy, it takes GUTS to trade the Forex.

Stocks, futures, commodities??.... These are great instruments but Forex is KING!!!!

I thought those were the advantages.
Advantage: Getting control over yourself and your emotions. Disadvantage: Your wife or gf will probably dump you

Advantage: Getting rich slowly. Disadvantage: Others will mock how poor you are

Advantage: Knowing the value of hard earned money. Disadvantage: You will still act as a non-rich person

Advantage: Taking control over your time mostly. Disadvantage: Committing more time to trading than before

Advantage: Having a broad global economic view. Disadvantage: Confused about which currency is better to hold your funds at

Advantage: You will become a computer expert. Disadvantage: Your eyes, back, neck and muscles will suffer

Advantage: You will become deeply involved into psychology. Disadvantage: People will run away from you as they might find you crazy

Advantage: You will become wiser. Disadvantage: You won't find friends easily, and it will be harder dealing with current ones

Oh no....It is me....
Your only disadvantage in forex is not playing by the rules. If you dont discipline your to trade our style until you master it then learn new styles everyday you will be at a disadvantage. The forex is the best daytrading arket in the world. I have made $26,300 in 11 hours. I don't know of any other avenue an average Joe can make so much i so little time.

That's not entirely true. Betting when you have a know advantage is a good way to make money. I have made thousands betting when I know I have the advantage. Not only on one or two lucky bets either, but a slow grind. I have easily wagered over half a million dollars over the last couple years, with profit to show.

One advantage of 4X for our origional poster: When you are sport betting (if you are doing it right) you are probably not taking a lot of bets, but the bets you are taking are based on some sort of highly creditable advantage (or precieved advantage), and thus will give you a positive expectation when done over and over again.

I look at 4X the same way. I'm mearly learning how to look for 'bets' which, when done over and over again, will give me a positive expectation. Patients, patients, patients, pounce is how it goes.....
The biggest advantage to trading is all you have to do is sit at your desk and click your mouse to do business. The big obstacle is you have to fully immerse yourself or you won't make it. Even then you probably won't make it.
How you act is more important than how you feel.
