Is MetaTrader worth the trouble?

well..you can create an EA out of every mechanical system nothing more and nothing less....You could also automate it half-way so it needs a human eye to confirm the trade.

best use for EA is to control your orders, NOT to intiate them.

enter a trade manually then let the EA controls the exist.

Metatrader has many advantages. And while it may lack some of the tools that come with other platforms, tick data in particular, it is powerful (though not versatile) and has a growing community of supporters and brokers.

Best is that the it creates some colorful work that is true to the trend. I like that.

Agreed, its just a tool, you can use it right and it can help you, and you can use it wrong and it does nothing for you.

metatrader is great, but metatrader 4 still has a few bugs in it...

its free though.. cant beat that
