Is there any way to keep a record of these on every tick? I know the file can get huge but I don't mind. I guess a lot of traders would find this valuable. Thanks

It is possible. This line will do in an Expert:

Print("Balance: ",AccountBalance(), "; Equity: ", AccountEquity(),"; FreeMargin: ", AccountFreeMargin());

Yes, look in the experts/logs directory.

I would not print it, I would rather let MT write it into a new file so that not all the other stuff is in the same file.

See the MQL manual on file handling, functions are (I think) fopen, fwrite and fclose.

I found this EA that does something similar (it records the spreads in a CSV file). I'm not very good at mql so if anyone could modify this I'd really be grateful. I'm sure other will find it very useful as well

Something like this?
File PL_Margin.csv will contain the info for every tick...

It will be a huge file after some time. If you trade multi-currency leave out the if condition.
