Instead of filling this thread with Q & A about EA's, would the authors of the EA's put together a manual for them.

I understand that we are testing them, but I have seen very few legit bugs found. Most of the questions are on how to use them. A manual would solve this issue.

Attached is a trailing stop EA & manual as a sample of what I mean.
I also use this EA with other systems.

Just my 2 cents...

The EA put the trade in at 129.69 and because it moved a lot, I took 1/2 out at 128.24, for 145 pips. The other 1/2 is still in at about now 127.57.

I also have EUR/USD and GBP/USD in, that the EA put in also from last night, they are in profit, I did not take 1/2 on those. Keep An Eye out.
OK Ron, This is what happen. The EUR/JPY the ones I took 1/2 lots on the first candles are still both in with 0.05 lots, at 5.00pm est, they both are still in, instead of trade#1 that should of came out.
Also on the EUR/USD both were in profit and one did come out and left the other in, that's fine and it will come out of course when AO changes colour or PAR. gets hit. So I guess the EUR/JPY that I took out 1/2 lots on both manually must of a effected the EA or you can explain more or we just learn something new on the EA. Thanks

Anyone else having a problem with opening trades on
latest AshFx V2 Ronald Raygun EA ? (lots set at 0.1 and rest at default)
I tried RR previous version and opens trades straight up.
AshFx autotrader hasn't opened yet either ..running on default.
Both EA's have been active since start of trade.
Maybe its just the market at the moment?

Just noticed.. GBD/USD previous AsfFx RR version AO direction = Green. New version AO direction = Red. Both on
same TF.

My suggestion would be to run the EAs in the strategy tester. Make sure to check the box labeled "visual mode". Watch the EA's entry and exits. If there is a conflict with the system, get a screenshot and show me, so I cn try to diagnose and fix the problem.

I've given you some screen shots and the time period visually tested... were you able to replicate the error?

It was Trade #1 since the odd number in the screenshot was the one that did not have an initial stop loss

2. In 4hr+ TF sometimes the arrow is already in place but the signal only generated after it break the previous bar. I know this is a good principle. But according to my experiences, the arrow are so reliable: thy hardly repaint, as soon as they appear the position should be opened.This is the case when I do manual trading. It makes me nervous when the position opened 100 pips lower than the high. This happened several times Like 4hr euro chart. There are some inside bar signals, they work out good to generate signals like first wave in 4hr JPY chart. Which means I prefer as soon as the arrow appears the position should be opend.Please refer to last page of my thread to see whether you could help .

Thanks for the Ea. I have run it through strategy tester and in the "Journal" tab it shows many errors like this:

"AshFx Version II GBPUSD, Daily; Order Modify error 130"

Any idea why?

Error 130 usually has something to do with the final attempt at adjusting stoploss/takeprofit to be less than the broker's minimum.

So many indicators and EA's listed here I am getting confused.
Is your EA the same as AshFx auto-trader EA.mq4 ?
Or are they competing EA? Same strategy by different programmers?

(I personally think my implementation is better, in a completely unbiased way). Don't get me wrong, SteveHopwood is an incredible programmer. He can definitely code more complicated stuff than I can.

It seems the indicators are built in to the EA, is that correct?
Default setting are best for Daily charts? yes? or should I consider making some changes? I set EachTickMode to False because I want the bar to close the right direction before placing a trade if I understand that one right.


I only have one more suggestion because of a successful system I have been using. it is VERY effective to place a 50ema and never go short unless a full bar has closed below 50day ema, and never go long unless there has been a full bar close green above the 50 day ema.

Is there a doc file for this? When I see a Up or Down arrow does that indicate all the indicators are correct to take a position? Please explain what I am seeing.

Do you really read through the thread?

The default settings follow what the system asks for. You just need to set the lot size.

Dashboard:
I do not understand why some times the dashboard shows for instance all Red, and a trigger Sell, but when I go to the chart of the same time frame the Parabolic is not showing a signal in the sell direction and the A/O is not red, either. Only the A/c signal is red.

So the chart and the Dashboard are not the SAME. Why?

There is not a scroll bar on Dashboard and I can not see all the pairs.
