ACAD still open BUT although the AN is doing nicely on mt4 platform, the broker my live acc is with knocked me out at my stop. The difference between my mt4 charting platform and live platform was over 80 pips, needless to say I am pissed off.

The diff between live and chart broker was 50 not 80 pips. Still way to big diff.

Just had a big "discussion" with them, bottom line is, there feeds are right every other broker is wrong, and they will not reinstate my trades.

Yeah, Most of the time its just not worth arguing with them, once on Interactive brokers they slipped me 100 pips on a price, put me in with a sell 100 pips above the actual price and they wouldnt do anything about it after, they said it was a borderline case, whatever that means...anyway, theres nothing you can do except close your account really and thats a pain in the neck´if you are happy otherwise....Im using my oanda account now, simplest really, although they are very lacking in some things (charts suck etc) they are bang on execution wise, and very easy to use. Depends on what you need really...

Thanks Raz. Only operating a micro acc at the moment. When I move up to mini acc, I will look further into it. Yes Oanda would suit me.Will stay with FXCM at the moment unless they start pissing me off on a regular basis.

ACAD,,EJ,,NU,, all went into profit within 3hrs after opening them around London Open.WHY OH WHY DIDNT I STICK TO MY NO1 RULE: TAKE PROFITS WHEN THEY ARE PRESENTED TO YOU.

I am looking at the charts and I can see at least two of those last trades that went waaaaay beyond your tp 1 and 2, (and it seems to happen a lot!)is there some reason you dont leave at least the with trend trades to run? I think you dont realise that your judgement is excellent in most cases, I am really impressed with the trades you choose. Sorry if Im being pushy, I just think you are doing really well! Raz

Hi Raz. No you are not been pushy, please feel free to speak your mind, I appreciate it. I open two trades with the intention of letting the second one run, BUT when I see the pips on the table I take them, because I am trying to build up from a small account, and I find hard to watch the pull backs.

This week will try harder to let second trade run.

Will probably reenter EJ, and maybe GJ. Also watching ACAD,GU, NU.

Ok, just wondered if it was part of your strategy. A friend of mine has a similar strategy, he puts on three positions, closes the first after any reasonable profit like say 40 pips, whatever, then he has a tp1, which is say your next support resistance area, and the third one he lets run. Its easy to let a third run, but you know, its so much nicer to have your full position running...still, its just a question of where you are at and what your goals are. Like you said, you are trying to build up your account safely, and its difficult to learn to hold, but you will get there for sure.
Im short ej still and watching GU and NU. Your GU call was excellent this week -I was very busy with other things though and didnt get to it, never mind...speak soon, Raz

Raz the 3 trade idea is one I have thought about, and I really like it, when it is with the trend. 1)Instant profit, $ in the bank. 2) Probably will hit S/R. 3)Who knows.

My aim is to spend about 2 hrs a day setting up and managing trades, will probably stay with 2 trades,TP1 been twice as much as TP2. Will take me a few months to get there.

I am sure it is nice to watch your full position run, but dosent suite my temperament or personality. Having said that, the number of times a trade takes off verse the number of times it only goes to ppz is very small, and I may end up just taking full position to first ppz , then closing, who knows? Still feeling my way and experimenting.
