I just click on the link in Shamus's post and then enter my nick in place of the one that's there.....no idea if that's the best way..http://www.forexfactory.com/images/icons/icon11.gif..but it works!

I've downloaded the CDRW indicator from page 1. Where might I find a document that would explain the widgets it puts onto the chart?

Have been reading this thread with much interest and want to learn more.
I do have a question... there are three indicators posted for use on MT.

Do I put one on top of the other on my chart??? Sorry if this is a dumb question but I would appreciate being enlightened. thanks

No problem.

Yes.. just open navigator and then drag the 3 indicators over into the main window.

I suggest you then save the set up as a template.. and then you can put it onto any other chart you want.

It is also worth checking the number of periods set within the indicator.. i've set all mine to 300 as this is fine.. if they are at 0 then they can slow things down...

Hope this helps and I assume you were referring to the Bettervolume indicators and not the other ones..

Would you be willing to add a channel-drawing option to your CDRW Spread indicator? (See post #299.) I wanted to use the highest spike waves to select which price bars to draw the bar-high trendline and bar-low trendline from. The variables would be the time of the first and of the second price bars. Also, delimiting a few spike waves thru numerical height of the waves and possibly amount of time to consider which spike waves to choose from, may be enough to program the channels in automatically.
A similar request is in the programming discussion, where I wrote it in a way to avoid using your indicator (and possible offense) to make the idea happen.

Can someone verify if we have no demand on daily dollar index? I don't trust vol feeds I have for it. But both brokers seem to show much less volume on this upbar into the downmove. Resistance 84.59 - 84.69.

It looks that way to me as well... but I am still getting it down. Maybe Malcolm or any of the other pure VSA guys can shed some light.

It has 4 states.

I believe that a price volume bar can have one of 4 states.



1. It can have increasing spread and decreasing volume. This means that price is moving without strong participation and can not be sustained. Due to the lack of participation, the price is ripe for a reversal.

This is displayed as a Magenta Diamond on that bar.



2. It can have increasing spread and increasing volume. This means there is wide participation and price should continue in this direction.

A red arrow shows the direction down when supply is overtaking demand.

A blue arrow shows direction up when demand is overtaking supply.



3. It can have decreasing spread and increasing volume, which means that the supply and the demand are temporarily stalemated. This is a warning that the direction move may be losing steam.

This is shown by a yellow x on that bar.



4. It can have decreasing spread and decreasing volume. This to me means that the bar has little participation from anyone and that the market is dull or congested. I do not show any indicator for this, because it does not portend any information other than dullness.

dollar index does not have a true no demand bar

there does seem to be lack of effort to drive it up however note on the daily chart right now that the lows are all high . If we break that trendline to down side then we would see 75 ( menaing both eu and gu would accelerate up) . i cannot get a clear direction as of now , but would suggest that with lack of buyers we may see a down move in the near future

Hello malcolm i try to find best data to analyze volume this is MB trading MT4 platform.Could you please compare this data with your just wanna know if this is better than IBFX data because there are some difference.Thanks a lot.

How can it be 'better' data .... is it just data from a different source.

We have already identified that the most similar data to e-signal from MT4 is IBFX.
