it is called 34ema /atr because i began taking stops at 2 ATRs and later abandoned that idea since it did not statistically hold up.

i cant make out the details on chart, but for starters i can tell that your channels are not exponential. Care to magnify that pic?

folks this is the latest trade off this system, i did not take it as i had another trade on from another currency , different method. I never take more than 1 trade at a time unless % risk allows it. Anyways it was a good, no wait a very good setup.

Hi Wahomeron, thanks 4 the reply see the expanded chart just taken. The ema are definitely exponential, so based on the chart where will will the trggers and entry and exit?

shouldnt entry be at or immediately after the candle that touches the 34ema? in which case in the diagram arent you entering 3 candles late?

It looks like the latest entry point was a buy at 16:30 GMT at 1.9777 with a SL at 1.9760. It this correct? I would assume that if you don't get in at the exact point the signal crosses the 34 EMA, an entry would be valid at any point between the original entry and the SL?

The pictures are meant for illustration purposes. All that matters is that you have a trigger at the outside channel. Then you wait for your entry at the 34ema. Sometimes it is at the ema sometimes it is not, unless you have a market order waiting for price to retrace. Which is difficult since the ema is also constantly changing.

In a nutshell, it does not matter what bar you enter your trades, you can even enter trades at the channel. I only choose the 34ema so as to reduce risk.

nice tricks mates...it do works...
one question .....
seems that the SL is about 14 pips so how it gonna handle news?

hallo J. Sparrow, thanks for your interest. I usually trade with or without news with the exception of Non Farm Payrolls. The way i see it, news provide an opportunity to profit BIG coupled with the small stop that comes with the system, very good R:R

best short term methods I've seen. @ this time I am trading another method,
but might add your method on another screen & give it a go. If this is not
asking too much would you mind posting some screen shots that would
include the trigger, entry & were you would exit & post them in the white
format as you did before. Again, your method is simplistic in design &
application that should produce many pips if the rules are followed. This
is just the type of system that I like. It is easy to follow & leaves the chart
clutter free. Tks for sharing & the requested screen shots if you don't
mind. I share my results when finished.

Hi jefferytp,

On this forum look up Heiken-Ashi System & follow the threads posted by Steinitz. So far this method has produced some nice pips for me & others.
All the indicators you need can be found on the threads (I think there are 3). Read & reread the post & the rules then demo it until you understand how it works. I have used other methods in the past that
revolved around EMA crossing, but so far HAS (Heiken-Ashi-Smoothed) is better for me. I hope this helps & may the pips rain down on you.

for me on this yesterday night and was successul.. a short with a tp of 15 pips.. i believe with this system you shd be able to get 10-15 pips easily.. couple that with multiple lots.. 50 pip a week gives you a good living
