don't know why--but am also getting the feeling forexflash knows something i don't.

and what happen to Malcolmb 14 --did he truly leave--that would be a shame--he's one of the contributors that really understand the workings of VSA.

i had to go educate myself a little on the subject--and looking at his charts he's really good at it.

Ok, here is what it does.......

Gray lines are level sensor, it is bassicaly showing the strenght of price level.
Blue lines ending at red line is a last swing, and based on that in upper corner
of the chart you have all info based on that swing(including volume).
You have 2 yellow lines that shows a trading channel also based on
swings, and five horizontal lines are a 4hr fibonaci!

I am still learning this so I may as well post a chart and get feedback

I went long @ 137.52 after a high volume low spread bar ... indicating SM not selling.

we will see !!

The shooting start that was the high candle also had high volume - so a failed upthrust and an alert - for me - to start thinking short.

I sold after the news and - as usual - exited too early with my TP at the 00 level, which was broken in a wide range 5 min candle......but pips in my bank are fine.....and I'm just about finished for the week....

Nice one even though you got out a bit early.

Since I posted my trade earlier I have had a couple of people thanking me for doing this via PM ... current trade entries are surely the way to go (rather than more indicators) and the more we see, the clearer they will be understood by us all. All you really need is a volume indicator, a pair of eyes and a few rules.

Your trade and mine both had very similar reasons for entry:

A volume surge was not backed up by price move, indicating a reversal of the current 'micro' trend.

These will occur numerous times a day on the smaller timeframes and anywhere from 10-50 pips can be obtained this way depending on the pair.

Any comments guys would be much appreciated.
