Despite that I am still making profit, but what these dealers are doing...
Why dont you try a different platform and get away from MT4?

BK after reading these replies, I see many people are wanting to blame the broker for their bad trading.

It is just an observation.

Hey, if you want MT4 STP, use ATC brokers are do your homework on another ECN MT4 model. It is old news now.

I'm actually using two different brokers, and this is only happening on one of the 2 MT4 platforms.
So its not the platform, but the broker that is the problem. The IBFX bucket shop has up to a 5 sec lag per trade than my other broker. Hence the need to trade.

But I'm waiting to close out a hedging trade or two, before I can change, but I am changing.

My point is not blaming my still profitable trading on the broker.... My point is, other brokers see the complacency of us traders with our complaints to the appropriate authorities, and as a result of peoples laziness / complacency, in reporting this, other market makers will start to use the same fraudulent tactics. Stop it now before you have to stop it with your broker in the future.

So if you don't DO something about it, it will become common place. Your broker will be one of those that are tempted to do it... I am still trading profitably, but I hate giving an extra 2 to 3 pip at each end of the trade for something that is the brokers fault or a result of their deliberate action.

That's called fraud and it obviously works against the trader, and it can or will be against you in the end.

Refer to post 350, it will make your ability to submit an appropriate complaint easier.

You'd be foolish to think that just because a broker is ECN that they don't have benefits in hedging against you and hence benefits in obtaining the VD plugin. However, if you read my post above I can say that either MBT or ATC are my possible destinations, to help myself for now.

ASIC - Australian Securities and Investments Commission.

Are now looking into this, as it falls within their governance. If other traders push their regulating governing bodies also, we might be able to get something good out of the bucketshop brokers who use this software. Because MT4 platform based brokers would not be the only ones able to do this.

Recover finances, stop brokers stealing, make a difference.

YES-In the long run these Brokers are not Brokers at all-They are casinos and one should never trust these businesses with large accounts. I trade small( I might makr 1 trade a month now) and remove profit as soon as realized-Its the only way to keep it.

stay away from market makers period and stick to the ECN mt4's or mt4 bridges. Ive said that i don't know how many times is this and other forums and you'll be fine. only three mt4 brokers that are up to my standards:

ATC 5k minimum in about a week ECN bridge
MBT 400 min and is the only non bridge ECN connection because they actually do what no one can do and that is partial fills. 2 months???
BroCo investor4 currenex bridge who i trade with now. no down time and 3 secs average execution

that's it and nobody else. trust me. the rest ARE market makers! I wouldn't have a 88% win rate and have grown my account 96% this month already as a newer trader if this was really all built to lose. I really don't what to say to the rest of the skeptics or people who have got burned....

I teach a class in advanced Forex Trading, and one of my hot buttons is to advise students of good brokers, and especially of bad brokers. I have told them many times to go with ECN brokers if possible, as the rest of them are all trying to make money off of you in addition to the spread, which they are of course entitled to. Personally right now I trade with FXBB.

One of the brokers I had looked into, and traded demo with, is BroCo which has an IB representing them (lives in Florida). I liked them, but since they are offshore, which makes me naturally suspicious since so many of them are untouchable scammers, that I didn't open a live account with them. Now I wish I had based on your recommendation. I would only trade with a foreign broker who had a good domestic IB like BroCo has. Doesn't cost you anything, and an IB can really help you like the actual broker usually will not. His name is Scott Kuehne <[email protected]> if he is still an IB for BroCo.

Can you provide even more independent information re BroCo which I can pass along to my students? I must admit I have heard only good things about them so far, and would like to get over my natural suspicions of them.

its not that we all didn't have suspicions all along anyway... I always thought they were all up to no good. The free software really isn't free. Even with my prior suspicions, this angers me and explains everything now.. MBtrading is ECN and they are using mt4 in testing now... I guess they are wanting a piece of the pie too.

hi all,

I got so disgusted by market makers and their manipulation techniques that I decided I will not open any live account with them.
I'm currently beta testing MBT's ECN MT4 and it's funny to see the differences... just try to run an ECN and normal MT4 in parallel and you'll know what I mean.

Hopefully MBT will finish beta stage soon and we'll be able to open a live account.

Although ATC uses ECN their website didn't really convince me... there's nothing on it. MBT seems to be more helpful, responds quick to emails, plus they're running a thread here for beta testing.

I agree. There's a big difference! MBT is the only real ECN in that you get partial fills. ATC and Brocoinvestor4 are just bridges to ECN's. they're ok, but MBT hands down is way better. i was out of trades on MBT a long time before the other two. trades that i should have never lost on at Broco or ATC just because the spread is slightly higher. and you can trade micros too! and only 400.00 to open!? ATC is 5k! It sounds like they have 2 months maybe but it will be worth the wait!

Partial fills is unlikely on any MT4 platform as it is the platform that is presently not capable of it.
As for MBTrading on their future MT4 platform, because they have been a true ECN without MT4 maybe they are manipulating the platform for this to occur.

they do have proprietary software to do so. much different than any other bridge I've ever seen so they aren't manipulating price that's for sure.or it wouldn't do so well if they did. and what I see is a real partial fill. they did figure it out, how to get a large order through without not being filled because how can you always get filled all the time at the exact order size you've specified without slippage, requotes, offquotes or delays? you can't. so they figured a way around it and it works a lot better. this is probably the reason why it's taking so long because you're right, mt4 wasn't designed to do it and they are doing it the right way.

Is $400 dollars to start a NEW account with MB Trading?
What if you already have an account and "Blowed it up!"(not proud of it but
like the other 95% of us out there who don't make it, I just wanted to know),
or is it less to recharge? $250? Are they still doing the deposit only by check thing, or can we use an ATM now like IBFX to recharge(oops, just gave away another "Blowed it up!").

I already get good fills through the Varengold Bank platform mt4. Their commission is billed into the spread on the platform. Variable spread market order execution.
