DislikedSadly Tdion, you are ignorant to what VSA really is. It is EXACTLY the Wyckoff method, which has a track record that is over 70 years old. Wyckoff's wealth was so great He lived next door to the Chairman of GM. Tom Williams spent an entire career as a syndicate prop trader trading Wyckoff methods. Really, you are the only uninformed one here and should do a better job of educating yourself before you post. It just goes to your lack of skill and depth.
Have you read the book I mentioned earlier, ( in your randomness thread ) for you to read? If...Ignored
DislikedIf you want a track record why don't you put in the time to see if it works. Dang, what makes you feel the need to show up in every thread on this forum and be the voice of opposition. It gets really old.
Besides, you did over 3000% return last year, why the heck would you even care if VSA is viable or not.Ignored
DislikedWhy? My methods aren't indestructable. I keep an open mind. Read new methods all the time. If something new were really good, I'd start trading it.

DislikedGr8 thread NYSE1982 well I have a question.
Is their any evidence in recent time of VSA working. The reason I ask is because wyckoff is the only trader I heard of in the big league that made money with this technique. That was a century ago and I haven't heard of anyone else repeating his success with the method. Never heard of of Tom Williams. I've heard of big league players in the 70's like Stanley Kroll but they didnt use VSA. Theres a lot I don't know of course and thats why I'm asking. I've never heard of any of the big boys using this...Ignored
DislikedIn regards to your section check out pages 6,11,17,24-26,28-33. I've placed several instances of me successfully trading using VSA method.Ignored
DislikedNice diversion off the topic of the thread. But you have failed to address the issue of payroll conversions (billions of $ in payroll conversions every single day.) Wykoff is talking about stocks, which I believe is more applicable for this method than forex.
My two points are valid, whether you liked them or not.
And by the way, engineering is about researching the feasibility of solutions. My job (professionally, anyway) is to find why things DON'T work, so that millions of dollars aren't spent on a course of action that is doomed from the...Ignored
DislikedI'd like to see if we can create an indictor which can identify congestion areas. I'd like to base it on 5 bar indicator. The congestion area is characterized by indecision. One of the characters of congestion areas is low volume. So we can compare the volume on a 5 bar basis. In other words the volume should be low and have no huge volume upsurge, we can define volume upsurge of volume change of 30% or more. Also the spread of H/C & H/L should be narrow . It's based on your Volume Histogram, I don't know what fomula you used on that. However...Ignored
