What programming language do I need to learn to develop my own EA?

What kind of programming language do I need to learn to develop my own EA to use in Metatrader4? What additional software is necessary? I think it would be fun developing an EA, it is kindof like creating your own artificial intelligence.

Everything you need is in Metatrader 4. Just lauch the Editor.
The Language is called. MQL4. www.mql4.com

MQL is mostly C++ with their own twists thrown in. Additional software? Well, it's quite useful to know Excel, both from a user standpoint and a programmer's, which is Visual Basic.

Intelligence - no
