Dislikeda trading buddy of mine swears by a 8 / 4 ema and a 14 wma combo
works a charm on a 15 min chart
jurik has something called a JMA ... jurik moving average , with a setting of 20 the colour ( trend change) changes almost exactly where the 8/4/14 cross
attached is 60 min the colour changes show the changes in market sentiment well.
right now due to jma being pink it is buy dips on smaller time frames

Here is an article he wrote for Futures Magazine, in the article, he does not mention the MA cross. I remember talking to him about it, as, at the time I was playing with a 6 - 10 cross. I pointed out to him, that I thought it was interesting, that my lower # was double his lower #, and my higher # was half.

PS This is the guy who opened my eyes to the concept of stacking positions. Last year, he had 13 short pos on g/j for roughly 18000 pips. I didn't mis type, thats eighteen thousand.
