as in edit the templates not the EA itself?

then i believe just right click on your graph and then click on 'indicator list', then edit it in there... you can edit the MA and the re-entries... just make sure you apply the same numbers to the code

I have heard of people that program EAs being able to program expiration dates into the code. I was wondering if this line of code in the EAs would be it in these EAs.

its not really an issue anyway, the logic behind this EA is pretty simple and easy to program again id imagine...

I am not wanting the template to change manually...

I want to be able to tell the code if I want 3 or 4 levels.... then for it to see that input and the time input and select the correct template setup

Then to change the distances of the levels via code.... so if price is x, have level 2 be y distance, level 3 z distance, etc.

basically, I want to add in a levels variable, and trade EA recovery variable (true/false)... if true, go to recovery EA logic, otherwise stay with normal logic... program sees that levels is 3 and checks time period on the chart to be 1 hour and automatically selects that template setup...

This isn't the template, but this seems to be the functionality of opening orders when a level is hit.... how can I add in a period check so that it picks the appropriate Var (for the hour, it is Var6, etc.)?

I am not totally sure what this code is doing if anyone wants to explain what it is doing in terms of syntax, Forex trading

There are time limitations in the code, I am sure it wouldnt take much to adjust to date expirations.

do you believe in 20 years we will be using this EA or this version of this EA.

how many rewrites do you think we will go through in that time, down this line?

Hello fans of the NanningBob strategy,


by using the EA's of the 60x90-strategy I always wondered about the different distances of Long and Short between MA and Level1.


In the EA's at the end of the code there are the following lines:

if ( Bid > Var6 + (90 * Point))

myOrderType = 1; / / SELL

/ / buy-order
if ( Bid <Var6-(90 * Point))
(
myOrderType = 2, / / BUY
)
return (myOrderType);
)


As a trigger for the ordersend-function are in both cases the bid price.
This gives us the short entry at the correct point.
But our long-entry is closer to the MA.The difference is the amount of the spread.



By changing the buy-line we can fix this:

The bid determines everything.. if the bid price gets above or below the 80 + 90 is when you want the trigger. To me, the code you are talking about is already correct and does not need fixed. The actual order send is using the ask price at the time the bid is below the line. I just checked.

Just to let you know when companies expand their spreads it moves the ask. So if the spread is 40 you are entering longs at the 50 line above the MA not 90. So adjust accordingly.

Yes I want to see if this changes the spread enlarging as price gets closer to the TP line. I have documented this happening on another thread where I took pictures while it happened. I have seen it happen too often.

So if calibrated to the bid and the ask on both sides. Can that variable be turned into a line on both sides of an MA?

------------------Bid line

A readable indicator for spread.
I’m thinking that the ask (just before news event would ask start heading long this could widen your entry)
I’m wandering how that would affect the system.

I think that as long it separated it might keep us from getting in so fast. OR
Maybe that’s a better time to get in trend if pass first MA try for some of the action just make short reversal maybe like a 30X90

Have you read the thread entitled " MT4 Brokers Virtual Dealer Plug in" ? It's in the Broker Discussion forum, page 2. This is what is screwing with our trades, not IBFX, it's the MT4 platform.

Is this the way to go, if we want a long entry to be placed when price touches the 1st level below (90 pip way from) the MA median, regardless of spread? I am a bit confused because everyone seems to explain things in a differnt way.

the problem is the ask can spread at times, but then again if the bid hits the line and the spread is too large its to high from the initial line


BID or ASK that is the question?

Hi Bob,

I thought they move the spread to both sides(for me this seems to be logical).
Now I must watch this spread-movement-behavior.

Using the 60x90 on AUD/NZD (standard spread=20) I only recognized,that the Level1-entry of short is 90 pips above MA,while the Level1-entry of long is 70 pips below MA.
But I will compare both variations in forward.

Btw: I like to "play" with your EA´s.
Since I start working with them they are making more money than they loose. Vou have done a great work.

can someone please help me....

one of my platforms keeps opening double orders....

i think it may have something to do with it shutting down on the weekend when it was still open...

ive deleted all charts, all profiles, turned off expert advisors, removed all experts, and its still opening trades (not doubles any more)... its fcukked i nearly had margint roubles cos of audcad just then luckily got a good profit but still it keeps eating my profit cos i keep trying to "close all"...

HELP!
