At the moment I am also impressed with 60x90, and take advantage of this current market using this strat., but I am sure once the markets get back to a more trending nature we will have to make some changes.

indeed, you are probably right. the pairs i have chosen are the safest i could find however and i'm hoping my settings will stand the test of time. although we shall see..

Please do not even consider going live with the settings you are running. You are going to margin out and lose your account within the next month or two. The markets are in a severe crisis, the only way to run this ea safely is to be very conservative. I started an account Monday also with $2,000 start. I closed out all positions today. I am running all 23 pairs and the floating drawdown has been minimal. Here are the results running conservative settings, IBFX has reset the account but as you can see by the graph the max floating drawdown has never exceeded $30 or 1.5%.

Toyo, have you gone live? And, I agree with you 100% on your post. I would caution some here about "irrational exhuberance", and to keep in mind the not so funny joke when it happens to you. "What's the WORST thing that could happen?". I'd rather be the turtle plodding along making alittle here and there and slowly eating my lettuce, instead of the rabbit that makes big gains quickly only to see even bigger losses because a wolf came along.

In the coming days and weeks you will see changes with FX coming through the MetaTrader4 platform. The biggest change will be in the price feed. As you are aware we offer fixed pricing which does not fluctuate throughout the day. Whilst this can give transparency in the pricing it can mean clients do not always get the best prices on offer.

We are in the final stages of implementing a new ECN-style price feed coming through from a combination of 70 banks. This will mean that clients get the absolute best bid/ask prices coming from the interbank market. During liquid times spreads can get as low as 1-pip on major pairs, and if spreads widen it can be a signal to a client that the conditions for trading are not favourable. As an indication of spreads, many majors including GBPUSD, EURUSD, EURGBP and AUDUSD can offer spreads as low as 1-2 pips, even during the Asian session.

Offering the accurate interbank market prices means it is easier for us to hedge our positions. As part of this we will be able to accept ALL EXPERT ADVISORS including FAPTurbo. We will send an email to all clients as soon as this is fully implemented.

If you have any questions about the above please do not hesitate to contact us."

I'm wondering how this will effect IBFX. From what they've(Go Markets) said, it should fill orders quicker shouldn't it? I take it that Go M. isn't a straight through trading broker as IBFX is supposed to be.

I noticed that almost all the MT4 brokers are going this route. My experience with this so far has not been tighter spreads but bigger spreads especially as it gets closer to your TP. This may or may not be good news. IBFX has used this as an excuse to really take advantage of traders. We will see.

Ok, I am going line by line now through the code to try and understand the concepts of some of the inputs, etc.

I am more familiar with a simpler code syntax, so maybe I can grow by adding in additional comments to this EA as I go through it to gain Forex logic at the same time I gain understanding of this code syntax

I am trying to understand this concept:

If AccountMoney protection is turned on, then it is making sure that my account equity never drops below (balance - protection), correct? It is like a built in margin call? So if I have protection at 3k and balance at 10k... if hits below 7k, it will shut off all my trades? Will it start trading again after that since it will then have a re-adjusted formula? (Balance being 6.999k and so would shut it down again if it dropped another 3k)?

I had an account with MBT. Their spread on GBP/USD widened substantially. Their excuse was the same as IBFX, which is that market was volatile. They sadi I could put an order in at bid, which is the same line you get from them on the their thread here at FF. I can do the same on IBFX. Does anyone think I could get filled at bid on AUD/NZD at bid when the spread fluctuates from 14 to 30 or more? The same thing with GBP/USD. How am I gonna get filled at bid if the spread runs to 6 or 8? Their explanations are a joke, and so is their thread here. They engage in double speak. For many, many months they talked about changing their lousy platform. It's been over three months that they said they were going to MT4. I suspect it will be many more months before things are straightened out, and I don't see them as being any better than IBFX. I'd like to see it, but I don't see it happening.

I have found a way to add this into the EA... so I multiply TP, SL, and TS by xecn.... are there any other inputs that you would normally have to use if going with a 5 digit broker?

If I want to do the same with the templates, where do I edit? How do I do the same thing but multiply the lines in the indicator list of the template * xecn? This would automatically fix the 90 for a 5 digit broker to 900 if I can add it there as well... then I will try and fix the opens to correctly handle ecn as well

I changed this:

Hey Bob,
You know, there are EA's that will hide your TP and SL. See( HIDDEN TP&SL EA .mq4) in the programming dicussion forum, page 2 titled "hidden stops and take profit levels". Do you think this would help with the spread widening games IBFX is playing? Maybe you could combine EA's or incorporate language in yours that would hide TP and SL.
