I wrote MB Trading and will be trying their MT4 demo today. They sent me some startup information. If they can get their MT4 working they should be good competition for IBFX. Let you know how it goes.

What broker are you using (or trying to use)? I was reading the fine print on MB Traders which states that their MT4 will only accept orders without sl's and tp's. Good to know for anyone trying to get this ea to work on their platform. You would have to do a lot of manual entries and keep on top of each order as it was placed.

Sorry if this has been asked and answered before. I'm trying to modify the code. I've changed the two lines at the bottom of the code ( changed the 90's to 120's) but what else has to be changed. It's still trading 90 away from MA. Also, where in the code do you change the MA? Thanks

I am using MBT demo.... I have 2 EAs that work on it.... you have to do something different with the way the t/p and sl execute with a modify order... so you place the order and then modify the t/p and sl.... right now, I am hoping someone will help make the modifications to work with them since I really like this theory....

It should be able to work for all if you do a modify right after the order, not just ECN so that should be the standard setup going forward for programmers I would think.... also, I would think this could be moved into one EA by adding a "Levels" variable (so uses the code for 3 or 4 based on this) and by having it check the time period to call the right indicator automatically.... then you can make Recovery EA a true/false option

If someone could do this, it would be helpful for all traders... don't have to switch around all the EAs and time periods of indicators and it would work on all setups as one EA

For those who have experienced SL, how does it work?
eg. 0.01 lot has SL at 123.50, 0.03 lot has SL at 124.40 and 0.09 lot has SL at 125.30.

When the 0.01 lot hits SL at 123.50, does it close the 0.03 and 0.09 lot trades as well? So essentially the SL is 500 pips from level 1?

Results for this week has been incredible. Over 30% profit, even with JPY pairs giving us problems. This is trading 13 pairs, standard settings, $0.1/lot.

Modifying the codes is quite easy, anyone can do it, u just need to do some research. I did a lot of modification to the EA. I added a lot of additional functions which I think is useful for me. Some people wait for others to do things for them while some do it themselves. I prefer DIY since it's the fastest way compare to waiting for people to do it for u.

Well thank goodness the uj is now out. Glad I manually changed the tp's, my stupid expert advisor button wasn't pressed in. Looks like I missed good eur/jpy and aud/cad trades because of it. Oh well, I must pay more attention when I switch profiles I guess.

yea it closes the others IF your station doesn't lock up or your expert advisor isn't disabled like mine was.

That's all you should have to do. You did compile it again right? The MA change is above that. Change the 80 for all or just for the TF you will test.

I've seen a post by someone that had ranked pairs in 3 catagories.
safe, moderate and dangerous. I can't find the post. I'm interested in the safe pairs. Can someone give me their opinion of what might be the safer pairs?

w37b- stop will happen at level 1 and then automatically closes all trades above that.

Figured i'd post my week's results now. I do have some trades still open, but they will be closed a little later with not much change to my overall profit.

This is default settings, 4L and all the recommended pairs and timeframes per bob's word document.

Max floating loss was -$1110
Max margin used was $688
Yes, this is quite high, but its purely due to the yen situation this week. My previous tracking of these levels was nowhere near this high. We'll see what next week brings.

the 30M and 1H pairs are the pairs which usually move the least amount of pips a day

15M are the moderates

5M are the high risk pairs.

What was your starting capital? The reason I ask is I think you are under-capitalized if your Floating Loss at one point was -$1,110.00.

looks like he had 2K in the account. thats alot of risk.
mine is 5k and i only made 450.00 this week.
i kinda run Conservative. well unless one of you daddy's come up with the holy grail

I agree it does look like his starting capital is 2K and with 1.1k DD, we are talking about a 50% DD on initial starting capital of 2K account. Hopefully he is not going to start live trading with his current setup.

Note: I have been demo testing using 1K account with nano lots/0.01 cent per pip. I think the worst DD I have visually experienced is about $40.00/4%.

i think that is could be a hard learning lesson if 50% left the account, that means you need to make 100% to just break even.

ill tell you what daddy. I'm good with emotion, but I'm not good with those odds.




BTW about me saying daddy.

i look at this whole websight as a learning area and who do most of us learn the most from our mommys and daddys. and i think there is more males here so i say daddy more. just FYI.

Yes it was 2k starting, and I agree that 50% DD is too high.
However, like I said, this was due to the yen situation completely this week. Previous week's DD were no where near this high. We each can do what our risk tolerance allows for
