i was wondering, do you guys trade nfp week, or do you take it off. or do you just take the friday of that week off? People have different opinions on it, i try to stay away from trading that week, but if i see a for sure opportunity, i'll take it.

yea i usually take off nfp week for my cog strategies.

i dont take off from trading a few other systems i been working on tho. they focus on m1 trends, and therefor arent affected much, if at all. usually from history testing it, they perform great during nfp week, with all the crazy mini trends.


i do advise however, most people to take off nfp week.

I was wondering exactly what is the sell zone area on the timer? please refer to the pic...

also, what cog lines are u operating on? are you opening positions at every line, dotted and solid, or just solid lines, or what? There are green solid lines, blue dotted, and red solid lines...

for the mahmood amir timer, i usually sell at either line that appears first, sometimes the lower one will appear and sometimes the higher one,to be honest mahmood amir timer only works sometimes, if your strictly following that as an indicator, your gunna miss out on a lot of trades so dont be afraid to bend the rules a little. and about the opening positions questions, i use to open positions at every line. but they repaint like crazy, so i got fed up with that, and now i just use the sweetspots lines instead and its working great!

I just finished reading through the whole forum.

Now I have 11 different free systems from Oan, a 1 month commercial trial from him (without manual), and the deadsoul, noskool, paulus, behof, adros84 and FX.sniffer sub-variants. Plus some indicators which were found useful by someone in this thread.

My head is spinning.

The late developments (Oan's commercial site, banning Oan by FF then banning noskool by Oan) concerns me. Is anybody here who still uses this system and thinks it is profitable and good system? Or turned out it is a loser, or not better than most of the other systems?

the simple answer is yes. the system still works. im currently using it. the commercial version that is.

i think on oan's site there is a video on how to use the system. have to dig for it though. but in the paid section it is all categorized so it is easier to find.

i don't know what really happened between oan and noskool but frankly i don't have the room to care that much. it is rather unfortunate that 2 great traders have to part ways. it could have been a misunderstanding. a standoff i don't know.

while i like noskool's way of thinking, i also respect oan for what he is doing. you don't see george soros managing an account for free right? in fact, even benkyalate charges a fee for reports. what they want to do with their system is up to them. i only care about what that impact is to me (as selfish as it seems).

i go with what makes me money. no place for emotions on the trading floor. the other details can be discussed after i have made my money.

So yesterday I went long, when I saw situation shown in first picture, but then it went down. So oan's system (updated first post) is for 4 hours only?

I have read here that more important than the time frame is the direction of the COG. I only take the trades that hit the solid outside lines if they are going in the same direction of the cog, with the center line being my target. That is not to say you cannot make profits otherwise, but the odds are greatly increased if you go along with the direction of the COG. I am just a demo trader though, trading on the 1hr time frame so please do not think I have any sort of credentials or extensive experience. I seem to have a good handle on things one day,; and lose that same handle the next. Hope this helps.

So if price would go over the previous number 3, would number 3 moved on new price which would bigger than price with current number 3?
