Glad you liked that one Jacko. It should also be noted the U.S. SEC (I think) started talking about regulating FOREX and making a 'big board' for it, I believe it was a couple of years ago or at least after the REFCO collapse. The rest of the world said 'absolutely not!' and it was dropped. Their concern was the people who were opening FOREX companies and taking people's money or going broke. So make sure, whomever your broker is, that they have segregated client funds.

Hendrix, this thread is wishy washy. You are whining about things that are out of your control. Of course nobody wants taxes or their strategies to go bad....

But will be will be, not matter what we say or think or do. So the best thing to do is not worry about it.

as long as there is demand and supply , doesnt matter in what form , you will able to trade in it , so if currencies simply vanished suddenly (highly unlikely) , just make the adjustment and trade another market , should not be too hard

say ,
if sometime in the near future , we dont have demand and supply anymore , that means equilibrium between human need and what nature provided is achieved (highly unlikely again , since human hunger is unsatiable) ,
then you dont have to trade to live in abudance , you could simply do what you love doing and live in a perfect world ...

New Zealand is one of the prettiest places on earth. The people are extremely friendly. Their entire foreign policy revolves around beating Australia at any game they play. How can one not want to live there?

Agreed. I believe this to be the best business in the world. Countries will always need currency and to exchange with eachother. Unless we go back to the barter system we'll be fine.

Maybe news trading will be the strategy to go?

I think Forex is a system and all punters get kicked out EVENTUALLY. The ones that believe in the $97 get rich EA scheme quickly realise that it doesn't work and never return to the business...

Forex is a business that needs to be studied properly. Trading consists of 2 components:

Mathematics: The ability to interpret numbers.

Emotions: I'm sure you've read the same thing HUNDREDS of times BUT... seeing your investment as a number of high probability... not a dollar sign.


The system I present to you is derrived from "Pivot" and "Fibonacci Retracements". Look at how accurate support & resistance is... it's almost to the pip (little trade drawdown).

Normally S1 is calculated by (2*Pivot Point) – High
S2 = Pivot Point – (High – Low)
R1 & R2 = opposit calculations.

Basicallly, this system is based on Fibonacci retracement levels which is proven to be very accurate.

Positions are:
Range Bound,
Based mainly on 15 minute technical analysis.
40-55 pip moves.
Desired trade time is 1.5 - 2.5 hours.
