It seems that mibbit is what's giving us the problems. Apparently it uses the same IP to connect people to the IRC server.

I am looking for a different web IRC client right now. If you don't want to wait, you can download an IRC client to your computer, then configure it to the server and channel listed in the first post of this thread.

Sounds like you guys are on the wrong IRC server.

Make sure you're connecting to ircforex.com on port 6667

Sorry again about the chat problems, i'll have it fixed by tomorrow.

OK guys...

try this:
go to go to http://www.mibbit.com/ clik on "start chatting now".
Then, in the top, on the right , click on "Server" (in red) and, in the new box, type ircforex.com:6667.
So near "Nick" type your nickname and near "Channel "type #brian8182 (the # is important).

Hi Brain,

I'm really trying to understand how you determine trend direction for your methodology. You say on the first page it's L, H, LH , HH which is an up trend. I've attached a 4hr EURCHF chart and clearly when we were speaking in the chat room the trend is down even though we were in a small pullback. The pullback at that time hadn't breached any previous swing high. This is the part that is very confusing, you say check to make sure the 30 min chart is going in the 4 hr trend direction. Well, in this case the major trend direction was down so I am not sure why you would have taken a long position.

I'm just trying to understand your methodology.

hai..brian..what thing that we do if our SL are hit..at the first trade/first position of that day? i mean..the direction of the pair suddenly reverse as soon as we open our position? ..can you..explain? short of coz....how we are going to reenter the market..(GJ).thks a lot man

Basic but interesting system.
It's simplicity is no doubt its key to its success.

I am sitting here looking at my MT4 platform that has just been refusing to accept any more indicators or templates and I stumbled on this system.

Must be fate.

Seriously though, I am getting that I can't see the pips for the lemons. The lemons being too many indicators.

It would help us learn more if you would post a chart of today's correct entries.

Using this procedure I'm sure you won't have any problem.. And we all have a web chat usable in any place (coffee, office ...).
With a client you are binded to your own PC or your own network..

Traded trade for trade with Brian today.... and I was simply amaized at the results we got. Today was a real eye opener and I thoroughtly enjoyed trading for the 1st time in months.

Great job Brian. I was unable to get into the chat so I traded on my own and made 100 pips on g/j...which is a pair I normally don't trade but I'm studying it now so I can trade it in the future. Nice to hear that you took 11 trades, 8 winners for 256 pips. Hopefully I will be able to get into chat tonight and join the party.

I know what you mean, it feels wrong to trade against the major trend. But I don't think Brian's objective is to trade a long term trade, it is an intraday system that is traded mainly from the 5min and sometimes from the 30min.

What I understand is this:
He looks at the 4h (present) - say it is up....
he then looks at the 30min (present) and if it is also up and he can see that the market has been trending well, then he will go to the 5min and make trading decisions from there.

EDIT: here is a chatroom log (attached) I saved in notepad, but I did not save the last hour or so, but it will give some insight - I hope
