Taking my first real trade in the Daily system. As I understand it, both El Dee and Howard rules would go long at 1.4320

'Trades are not carried into the weekend. Close all open trades 5 minutes before your broker (http://www.forexfactory.com/brokers.php) closes. On Sunday at open put your trade in if nothing has changed. If the gap gives a signal the other direction open the trade in the direction of the new signal.'


hi,
about the rule above, please check below. suppose you close your long trade on friday. sunday the market gaps up or stays the same, do u immediately open another long, if so where do u put the stoploss for that? if it gaps down but does not hit the stop loss do u open a long trade? if it gaps down and hits stoploss do u open a short, where do u put the stop loss for that?

Hi fellow traders,finally read all posts,what marathon.Seems like a great system,looking forward to trading it. Now for the questions.
1) how do you set up the emas in Mt4?
2)Any traders from oz? would like info on local brokers etc?
3)Any one use mobile/smart phones for trading on Mt4 platform?

Thanks for reviving this thread BB.

Just trying to get my head around this system on USD/JPY 1 Hour.

I know the TF is 4H but just using 1H to make it easier to see the reversal setups.

Does this look like a valid LONG entry on the 1H TF?

I don't mean to sound mean when I say this but u should really read the rules again because nothing about any of that is correct. Read rules a few more times then go back and try again. If still having problems feel free to ask. Many great people on this thread!!!

Most here use alpari. I use ibfx. For emas. Go to indicators - moving average. Change period to 5 change from simple to exponential. And change from close to high. Then do same thing again but change high to low. Then u will have your 2 emas. Good luck!!

I have been studying this system for 4 weeks now and it definately makes money.
Having read the thread fully from the start over a 4 day period, I have been practicing using this system. I am very comfortable with the system now. I have opened up a small live account with £700 and have begun trading 2 days ago.

Thank you for the advise and the 4hour system.

PS: I am from Ireland and my broker is ODL in London.

Hello everyone.
I have try trade this month with daily rules(Howard's and EL Dee's). Here are results . I think feb was not too good month for this strategy.
1) buy 30.01- 2.02 -223
2)sell 2.02 to 4.02 -371
3)buy 4.02 to 10.02 +144
4)sell 10.02- 13.02 +272
5) buy 13- 17 -293
6)sell 17- 19 -178
7) buy 19- 20 -97
8)sell close 20 -245
9) buy 24-25 -137

it give me -1128 pips .

Ok...Is there anyone out there currently using this method that is making pips? I have been following the thread from the beginning and the system seem to perform well in oct, nov and dec. From my perspective the system has now dropped off in results. I am sure some of this is due to volitility but it seems as though I am seeing alot of action that is eating away a what little profit this system gains on a consistant basis...

Is anyone making positive pips each month?
