Disliked$1200 is a good startThat bearish div looks to have played out on your chart. Gold is linked to the dollar not the yen, and while JPY is in trouble, it's not the nineties for the samurai, where as the US is setting itself up for a lost decade sequel

DislikedHi Malcolm. Where do you see the action today - GB/JY seems to have gone to sleepIgnored
DislikedAs I'm sure you know, Gold is valued against the dollar, the $ index is valued against a proportional basket of other currencies...so while global markets react and decline in unison, and central banks increase the money supply in a co-ordinated fashion, the relative relationships between currencies hold while Gold rises as a haven and hedge against risk.
This will continue until $ fundamentals can no longer be manipulated, and a black swan triggers a serious devaluation of the dollar, like China stops buying American debt...

What time would you use for an OR for forex especially GY, I am confused between what Mark Fisher recommends in his book and Geoff Bysshe booklet.
I have been using 8-8:30 am est but find the price going back on me most of the time even after a 15 minute confirmation.
Any recommendation you may have will be appreciated.
Thank youIgnored

Fundimentally, I think U/J is heading to the moon. Did you see the latest for Japan?
Japan's gross domestic product, or the total value of the nation's goods and services, dropped at an annual pace of 12.7 per cent in the October-December period, the Government said yesterday.
[indent]That is the steepest drop for Japan since the oil shock of 1974 and outpaces declines of 3.8 per cent in the United States and 1.2 per cent in the eurozone....Ignored
