Bagovino Method

My experience using the 8Ma/8rsi cross has been excellent.. however, success is predicated on the rsi crossing both the 8ma and the 50 line.. I don't take the trades just because of the 8/8 cross.

You get in a bit earlier using this method rather than the 21.

I do not need to wait for crossing, I see an impulse on a trend and I open the warrant, crossing has occured{happened} for a long time and I simply add the additional warrant. МА21 in RSI as the indicator of stability, continuation of the tendency (finding МА above or below 50). + position МА on the schedule. Actually all is very simple but EXPERIENCE is necessary.

I think I've made a mistake on time frames ....I am using a 15m time frame which I prefer for buying, are you using the 30m/1hr time frame for the 8/8 cross MarcoW??
Maihua, wondering what time frame are you using for the 21/21?

Yes.. 30 minute TF.. the 15 min drives me batty trying to deal with the whipsaws.. sorry for not clarifying.

I've had great success with the 30TF thus far.

I'm going to have to start using the 30m TF as you both do a bit more strictly as I am use to the 15m TF for a while now for earlier setups which I had been using for shares and I'm starting to see this FX market is a lot more different and volatile to normal shares..

Maihua, I'm just wondering you use so many time frames are you saying there is no simple setup you use most of the time like the original Bagovino method?

The 30 min TF sets up very well quite frequently.. even with the 21RSI 50 cross using the original Bago.(EUR/USD & GBP/USD)

Add pivot points and Vegas Tunnel and a 62 ema for profit taking and you'll be at about 80% wins with profit on a consistent basis.. provided you don't succumb to greed.

It is necessary "to float and feel, exclude sample application, "to read" the schedule and indicators. It is not necessary to use any strict rules, and it is necessary to be able to see obvious, yes, from the beginning of a rule, certainly, BUT as I have already affected-study to feel within the limits of system then the system comes to life!!!

That is what I'm talking about... Bringing some new ideas to the table!!! You sparked something in me you may want to try.... Use the 8/8 cross only in the direction of the 21 RSI.... Just a thought. For example, 21 RSI crossed over the 50 line. We now take all long crosses on the 8/8 while ignoring the shorts, and vice versa for a short.

Might be worth a try!

The 62ema is a great ema!!! I trade the 5 13 62 which is a great system in it self! basically when the 5-13 cross the 62ema go long or short... I always watched the 5-13 cross and wanted to jump in before it crossed the 62, (but didnt)

Thats when I found your system, I was looking for something to confirm the 5-13 cross ie.your system was what I was looking for to compliment the 5-13-62 I was trading. So the 5-12-13-62 (12 &13) are so close!) is a nice system when I combine them both! Now I go harder when I get the 5-12 crossing the 62. Theres a 5-13-62 thread here on FF with a PDF explaining the 5-13-62 method. It works great with your system!

Ok... Although I never really mentioned it before, I'm a big fan of multiple time frames. What I mean by that is looking for two (or more) time frames telling the same story. The problem I encountered was which time frames to use.

Like I stated before, I am a sponge for knowlege. So I'm always reading up and experimenting with different things related to Forex. Well recently I stumbled upon a great system here on F.F. By a member called "TEB". I must give him credit as I learned from him which time frames work best together... And that would be the 4hr and 30 min. You may also check with the daily real quick, but its not as vital.

Now I haven't dialed it in with my system completely yet, so I figured I'd throw it out there now and we can work it out together.

So my basic thoughts are this... Load your chart with my regular indicators... 5/12 EMA, 21 RSI and any other indicators I introduced that you find helpful ie. 8/8 ma,RSI. Go out to the daily just to get an overall feel... See if the indicators are showing an up or down trend... Just make a mental note but dont base any decisions on it... I will mention how it can help later.
Now, Go to the 4hr and see what it says... Long or short? Lets say its telling us long/uptrend... No go directly to the 30 min and take only the long signals off that chart!!! RESULTS ARE AMAZING!!!!! Now how to use the daily... If daily is showing up, 4 hr up, and you take a long on the 30min you are looking at a super strong trade in your direction. Now if the daily disagrees with the 4hr and 30min, still take the trade, but watch it more closely.

If you go back on your charts and review how the trades would have worked out based on these rules, THE RESULTS ARE STAGGERING

I dont want to make any claims of a winning percentage because people seem to get upset with me when I do that, but do the math for yourself!

You will see yourself not taking the false signals and taking a very high percentage of winning trades. Not only that, but you will have a much higher degree of confidence in your trading decision.

Ok... Thats enuff for now. Please give this a shot and post your findings here as well as your comments.

I think this is what you might be talking about. I've added another ema to the RSI. I've been using this for several years and the second ema is a useful filter. Many times the RSI will jump above 50 then shoot back down giving a false signal. A shorter ema when rising above 50 can confrim the trend. And the use of the CCI along with the ema cross is also usefull. I use the CCI as my trigger. Essentially using the ema's as my gauge to see the bias of the market, and then using a CCI cross above or below 50 as the trigger.
There are two settings I've put on this chart. You can see one with the bogavino settings and the other with the settings I use. A 13 with a 7,21 can also be used. The 13, 7, 21 is what I started out with and as I became better at reading it then I've tightened the settings.

As Bagovino stated, understanding multitime frame; or being able to see the true direction of the market is essential in forex. I've found out the hard way that going against the trend in a larger time periond is like going against the mack truck on the freeway. Using and additional ema can, especially on a daily or 4hr chart, provide a clear picture of the direction. Just my 2p's. Hope this is helpful.

Any observant and thoughtful trader with any experience is guided on 4Н and above, without it{this} as, a problem not in it{this}. By and large and indicators are not necessary, except for МА and if we them use that we should understand precisely-that from them we wait and for what they to us нужны.21МА enclosed in RSI I think is heavy enough that we saw the tendency. I for example never during lives shall enter sell if МА will be above 50 and on the contrary even if there will be a crossing with RSI.Но here if RSI was fixed under МА and the impulse in a bottom (about what can speak Stohastic) I begins shall add under the warrant on each impulse being guided only the tendency of movement МА on Н4 or above (or RSI) . I see it and I apply (than is very happy) .
