I´m still testing the system in manual trading and my results are WOW...till now most of the trades are big winners and few small looses. What I have as rule now is to have the same indicators but in both 5 and 15 min...so if all of the 4 indicators in the two charts agree and a Moving average of 200 and a 400 MVA are in the trade trend I enter with 2 lots...if the 4 indicators agree but MVA is counter trade I enter 1 lot...

This had given me great results...Hope this could get automated...because lots of trades got lost while I´m not there...and sometimes I get a little later of the signal because I´m doing something else..I only have sound alarms set up for all the 4 indicators...

Also I always wait the bar to get confirm...to say the bar should had finished and in the start of the next bar I place the trade...if not the signal sometimes is false.

THANKS A LOT for the system...Will try to place my trade results daily now and get it work live when MB goes to MT4...or even before if confidence enough....

Has someone faced this problem, too?
- A trade being opened, when the signals agree, but right before they change.
I had turned off the whipsaw protection at that time. Would it have protected me?

Coders, additionally or parallel to the whipsaw function,
couldn't we add a function that will prohibit the ea to trade any signals older than e.g. 15 mins?

Whipsaw should have protected you in this case, because whipsaw protection looks for the bar prior to the signal bar to not be a signal bar.

I turned whipsaw on today and had the same thing happen several times again.

The exact same thing?

WhipsawProtection checks the previous bar. If the previous bar shows no signal, or opposite signal, then it allows the EA to trade. Was there a case when that did not happen?

Has anyone tried this on longer timeframes? I ran a few backtests on the daily and had better results than on the M5. I am thinking about techniques to better filter out sideways action.

Ronald, As for another possible exit strategy, what about a yo-yo exit combined with a Chandelier exit. The chandelier would be nATR and the yo-yo would be roughly 0.5nATR. The actual stop would be the one closest to the actual position. Just a thought.

Thank you Ptournis for this great simple system, & Ronald for your EA talents.
I have been testing the EA all day today, with various settings, but without trading times specified. I just tried to set trading time from beginning 00:00 to ending 20:00 My broker is IBFX and their time is GMT. I set use trade times to true, and use broker time to true but I get message that current time is outside trading time on the chart. Current broker time is 00:52 on chart.
What am I doing wrong? No error messages in journal or expert.

En lo que va de febrero llevo + 214 pip, en dos dias de trading y cerre enero con + 1319 pips, claro le hice un pequeno ajuste pero lo importante es lo que tu has desarrollado, te felicito, un abrazo.

Outside trading times?

Are you getting broker time from the chart or the market activity window?

My chart time and market activity window times match, currently 02:05
The EA has been trading all day, until I tried to set specific trade time fromm 00:00 to 20:00

Ptournis great system, thanks for shared it. You use the same system of the first post ? or you introducing some modifications ?

I am +75 pips in February with (0.2 - 2 PSAR) and (40,3,0 Slope). This settings working well at the moment for me and give me filter for the false signals.

Popeye este sistema esta dando buenas señales y estoy sacando varios pips. Me podes comentar que modificaciones realizaste al mismo ?
Yo estoy con 0.02 - 0.2 en PSAR y puse el SLOPE en 40 para que sea mas suavizado y me elimine algunos retrace que no son necesarios. Además te permite ingresar menos operaciones.

Hola Victor,
mira utilizo las mismas condiciones iniciales, 0,02 - 0,2 y 12-3-0, pero trato de evitar las senales falsas de dos formas:
1) asegurando la entrada con ADX(14) en colores, al que le exijo 30 de esa manera me aseguro un trend consistente.
2) asegurando la salida, somos scalpers, operamos en 1 minuto, por tanto empleo el DTZZ LAUER (5,1) cuando aparece el punto delante del trend, automaticamente cierro la operacion sin pensarlo, pero si el precio sigue y se come el punto, automaticamente abro otra operacion, tu carga los indicadores, hazlos trabajar y los entenderas
El ADX funciona asi, rojo o verde, strong trend, marron o verde oscuro....me voy a navegar.
