Guys I am going out of town for about 36 hours. I am going to a small village in China for a New Years Festival. I dont know if I will get on a computer during that time. Good luck, many of these guys can answer your questions. One last thing, please dont try to trade this months NFP on Friday, it could be a doozy with all the layoffs that have been happening. question on the ea's

If you are in trades that the ea opened and you have to restart your pc, does it handle it properly? Didn't see this asked or mentioned in the word doc.. sorry if it was discussed already.

Thanks. I got the MAs changed and the tp and sl. I'll have to look through the code and find the variances.

Edit: Modified the variance in the code for 5 digits. Have to see if it works now. Thanks.

Nanningbob, have a great time while you're away. You were right, of course, on the cost of going 10 cents at three levels being around $450.00 if you were stopped out at 500 pips. I had a faulty spreadsheet that had level 2 being at 90 cents, instead of 30.
Will start live trading next week on 7-10 pairs at .10 starting amount in an account of about $3,500. & report on my progress. No way I want to start this week with the NFP coming up. I imagine it'll be awful.

you have to have metatrader on and hence your computer on to keep it working and re-entering etc, it will take profit on already opened postions as the TP and SL are hard TP and SL with your broker...power blackouts or dead internet connections can hurt at times...

i use a VPS to host my mt4's, you dont need a mt4 specific hoster as they are quite expensive... google SWVPS (the one i use) or VPSLAND...those are the main ones... also jsut google VPS mt4 or something to look around..

Yes, but if you do shut down or the VPS is rebooted, have you seen any problems with the EA not recognizing its trades?

i dont get what u mean by not recognising... when you get a VPS you make sure the program is in the startup in windows so after like 30secs in reloads the program again, incase ur VPS reboots

There's no problem. when MT4 restarts it will recognize the trades that are in progress by the magic number of the ea and will continue the trades. If you are 2 levels deep it will wait to enter the 3rd level if necessary or take profits when profit targets are hit.

do u make ur VPS auto login ? If u don't there is no point having it as start up program becoz if it auto reboot u have to login to let the start up run.

If u put auto login, anyone who know ur VPS IP address can go into ur VPS and have fun since they don't need to login.

yeh i use autologin...

people can guess if they want lol... tho to get it theyd probably have stolen my computer, tv etc so i wouldnt care lol...

Hey everybody, I can feel the buzz of excitement on this thread over this new system. So how exactly do you change the lot size of an individual currency without changing the entire ea. For example, the 5 minute ea is used on several pairs that are suited to different lot sizes.

You can manually input the amount you want to trade for each pair. The default is .01, but you can change that to whatever you want. On the "Inputs" tab of the EA, under "Lots", highlight the amount and erase it, and then enter what you want.

well I can't get FXDD to trade either. I am pretty sure there were trades overnight right?

Can I ask what the templates are for? The word document says to put the templates in the folders, which I did, but I didn't do anything with them. I used the profiles to get the charts set up, then put the appropriate ea onto each chart. The smiley face is there as well. I see bob had an issue too, so maybe it is fxdd, but some others on here got fxdd to work. This is a demo fxdd though.

I posted my results a couple days ago and here is my update. This is right OOTB 3 Level on IBFX Demo using all .01 nano lots on 22 pairs. Have not adjusted any setting yet.

Over the weekend I will read and re-read the instructions Nanningbob provided and may change my tests.

I followed the instructions relating to the new "Profile" included and loaded that... I believe loading this profile automatically selects the charts, timeframes and uses the set files. Makes it too easy!

Have not done a deep dive yet to compare results by currency, but I am happy so far.

I'm with Interbank, but I think the chart setup on FXDD is the same. There were a few trades last night. If you have every pair and the EA on every pair, and the smiley face shown on every pair, you should have gotten some trades.
You should load the template for the particular pair. Check the first post for the instructions because wach template is different depending on whether you want to go 3 levels or four levels deep. Whe you pull up a chart, right click anywhere on the chart, and you'll get a menu. Then click on "template". Then, select the template you want to use for that pair. For example, bob recommends a 15 Minute template for the EUR/USD. If you want to go 3 levels, you select the 3 level 15M 60X90. When you do that, the template will load showing the white center line and other lines, AND it automatically loads the EA onto the chart.

Yeah. won't take any trades here on 15M tf or any other for that matter on MT4 build 220.
