The steps I followed were as follows :

Went to "Tools"
" " "Metaquotes Language Editor"
" " "MetaEditor - Ptournis Scalping" and made the changes
" " "File" , "Save"

The message "Access is denied" then appeared.

The EA Works Fine But

Setting EachTickMode to false has the EA open trades at the close of the bar. You want to limit trades? There should be a max trades or maximum trades or trades max, or something like that.

Traders,

With all due respect, but I did not want this thread to turn into a EA coding tutorial. I wanted great traders to come together and make this scalping system better. Could we please get back to that? Has anyone made this system better? And if so, how? Thanks to everyone who has worked on this.

In the vein of improving this type of system, do you really mean for it to be scalping? As I see it in some of my trading, this system seems to be short-term swing trading. That being said, how then do we avoid or reduce the impact of sideways markets?

Time limits are nice, but a more dynamic method would be preferred. That's what the EA is there for everyone. You have the core of the system. Put up a few more indicators/change the settings etc to see how the EA does.

As with the vast majority of systems I've coded here on FF, they all have some sort of sophisticated entry strategy, but they lack a sophisticated exit strategy. I would rather see development focusing on the exit strategy, not the entry. Ptournis did an excellent job getting us a good entry. Help him find a better exit.

Is there any way to set it up so that once a trade is closed the ea doesnt open another trade unless the direction reverses?

because once have an open trade and it hits my tp the ea automatically opens another one right after. if it was a sell at 85 and it closed at 70 the ea would sell again at 68. how can i set it up so that once it hits the tp at 70 no more trades are to be opened unless it is a buy?

I am still using the same system as post 1 in my live account. I am trying to tweak the settings in the EA in my demo account.

I'm still using the same system as post 1 too, but i've added FX Sniper's M, i think it's more better.Anyone can test it?

alt.end, surely you can test it yourself, right?

Everyone else:

I've gone through the code and double checked everything. There is a field in the chart comments called "Remaining Trades" before telling me the EA doesn't work again, make sure remaining trades says '0' before the EA opens another order.

Also, make sure you have the latest version of the EA (attached), and before anyone asks, no, I will not put version numbers. Just overwrite the previous EA.
