For how long do you consider an IB to be vaild? For how long do you keep your limit orders open?

It's valid until a new IB has been build. I only trade the London session, 7:00 GMT to 15:00 GMT.

Today I got burned. I should consider to avoid trading breakouts on NFP days.

Hm I think, I exactly know when you got stopped out, because I followed this IB trading style as well. It's been 3 times EURUSD from 07:00 GMT bar, right?

I got burned as well, but managed to catch up a little...

Wonko, actually two times the 7:00 GMT and two times the candle before NFP news. I trade every IB only 2 times (each side once), after that I wait for the next setup.

I want to ask you some questions since you are using oadna and you have a euro account.

1) If you trade for example 10.000 units with 1:50 leverage your used margin will be (10.000 X 1 / 50) = 200 €. Is that right?

I am just trying to understand how this really works since all the demo accounts are in dollars but I want to have an account in euros like you.

2) How about slipage. I see you have a take profit. With Oanda this take profit trade executed at the exact price you wanted or it got slipage?

I am trying to decide what broker to use. I like Oanda. It is very easy to use but I would like to know if the live account is so good like the demo account.
