My own developed benkyalate system

Not sure what you mean by period. I just use whatever I have downloaded from Oan's templates and indicators without changing any parameters. If you mean time frame, I basically stay on 1hour though I do check the 15 minute for entries if nothing is going on in the 1 hour time frame. I am just a demo guy though, I am still learning and trying to be consistent. The Zaminib post is just what I am trying right now. If it doesn't work for me, I'll try something else. I like the Greatone Tpl that is located in the paperclip on the upper right from December 27th, but I'm sure opinions vary. But again, I like to keep things pretty simple and try to time moves as best I can to reduce drawdown. Even in my demo account I don't want to lose money.....lol. Look to Deadsoul for specific advice on timing. I like the qqea myself, but that's just me. Hope this helps. Kind regards, B

What are the indicators you attached for? Please explain what & how to use them for!

qqea is an indicator from another thread that I like to use. When the dash line crosses the solid line it is a confirmation signal....that's all. Many people here add an indicator or two to Oan's and Deadsoul's basic template to see if it helps. I really can't explain much about the indicator because I'm not that indicator savvy, but there is an alert arrow available. It is attached below. Btw, my qqea inputs are 1, 14, 3.5. Again, this is just something I use, not really part of Oan's or Deadsoul's system and I don't want to stray away from their work here.Hope this helps, B

I thought QQEA.mq4 was some kind of EA. Anyway, do we need both QQEA.mq4 and QQEA Alert.mq4 in the Indicator folder under Expert? And attach the indi to the main chart or what? I’d very much like to try them out with the Greatone.tpl you mentioned above.

Just add to indicators in your Mt4. Click all files....program files....your mt4 package.....experts....then indicators and put them in there, then restart your platform. Just use the ones you like and leave the rest there or delete them. Good luck...B

The qqea indicators are just a cross that the arrows correspond to. As one of them states, it has an alert with it that will flash either a sound or window on your computer to alert you to the cross. I don't use that one. Again, this is just something I use as confirmation to Oan's and Deadsoul's system. If anyone wants to know the thread I got it from please send me a private message as I don't want to disturb this thread with other ideas or systems. Otherwise, just load the indicators and see if you like the signals when the lines cross (arrows show up) or not, to use as confirmation to what they teach here. Hope this helps. Kind regards, B

Hey guys! I've read entire post, As it seemed interesting to me,
I've done some profitable trades using this system, unfortunately on demo account only, on real account I'll need to eliminate unnecessary risk, by getting down to smalet tf.
But that's where mess starts and my question is how do you trade with multiple tf?
say 4h is cog indicates strong bearish but 1h tf shows bullish chart.
Which one to follow????

Anyone have the code for the linear/straight COG channels (not the curvey ones)? DeadSoul showed these in post #1813 and that Ashur referred to them when Gody6000 was posting.

I find the curvey channels work well on multiple time frames (enter if price is hitting bands on two time frames, and your confirming indis are firing on both frames).

Otherwise trade the trend continuation on the low time frame (not a reversal), entering on low timeframe COG channel support or resistance.

ie. with two timeframes, this can be BOTH a trend reversal and trend continuation sys.

Seems that this thread has been evolving a lot since its first post in november 2008. For me the original setting/system is good enough for average traders like us. It's just a matter of practice and demoing the system. Like Oan says 70% of the market movement is made out of reversal/bounce and only 30% of it on normal/flat condition. This is quite true becoz fx market is made out from supply and demand.
I'm not against u guys to develop ur own trading style, but the way u did it make things more complicated. Just make ur trading canvas as clean/simple as possible. it will be easier for u to see the price action w/o a fully loaded indi in your chart. I'm not a pro trader either. Trust me on this.
Before u deploying any indi in your chart, please take a moment to draw a few trend line, support/resistant line so that u have a clear direction where the price is heading. Please see it from the higher time frame and gradualy narrow down your observation to the lower TF. After all this, then u can put all those colorful indi assuming that u already learn and study where is the strong sup/res line is. Don't make this this too complicated.
Just trying to help. Plan your trade well before you jump into any position.
