A chart to further expand on the idea....I'm sure as I look at this I will find situations where getting out above/below the 8sma will seem to be a bad idea....Therein lies the problem...

If you were going to use something like crossing a MA to exit...I would suggest the entore bare close on the other side of the MA...high and low included. Combine that with moving your stops based on pullbacks get you some nice moves....but I think there are better approaches to closing a trade.

I personally don't think TK has anything at to prove. TK's been generous enough to share and teach a proven profitable method. Everyone should just take what you can from TK's guidance.

For those of you yelling 'SCAM', so what! Like I said. Take what you can from this method and move on if worse comes to worse. jmho

That is certainly one way to look at it. TK's system can be what one decides is the type of trading they want to do as it is a great entry idea. Question is do you want to use it as a momentum based trade or use it as refined entries for a longer hold time. For me I'm looking at it as more of a momentum type of trading setup, so waiting for the entire bar closing above/below the 8sma would go against my thought process...I think I would use S/R, pivots etc, before I would trade the 2M chart that way.

Of course I want to milk it for as much as I can so from a momentum standpoint I am studying the viability of using the 8sma as a way to alert me that momentum is dying. If price stays on my side of the 8sma then I have momentum on my side. Thanks for the input, it is much appreciated. I still have much to learn.....

Let's keep some debate going over exits. I'll be watching the 8ma a bit closing next week...I've been ignoring it so far.

Last chart, this one the EU...Obviously if these exits worked like this all the time then it would be a no brainer, but of course we all know that won't happen...

i just checked and TKpower8 is realy a hard working man,,
his got a kind unselfish heart trying to help people all over the world,
im amazed he actually got time to trade himself..

Are you looking for exit only as the 8ma crosses the Candles?

Is that 8ma on the Ed2 template?

You could also look for a candle eats candle in the opposite direction for a exit point.

Looking for a bull candle to close above the 8sma when I am in a short trade and a bear candle to close below the 8sma when in a long trade....This is purely mechanical and only something I am testing right now.

The 8sma is in ED2 but not referred to for exits. I thought it would be appropriate as the idea keeps with the price action and MA aspect of the strategy. Remember, this is only an idea at this point. I am really hoping many eyes can help confirm or refute this as a viable exit strategy or maybe the basis for one...

None of us are gifted with the benefit of foresight and we do not know TKs ultimate intentions, I was only expressing an opinion. But I do agree that we should keep this thread positive and continue to learn from everyone here. It would be a real shame for this to turn out like FX Prime. Personally, I have never been the victim of a scam (cos I'm so miserable) and I have no problem with TK being paid for his time and efforts. Just get a bit whiffy when people can't accept the probability that maybe its more for the wallet than it is from the heart.

Agreed. This is from my earlier post on the subject. I think at this point candle eats candle will trump all else...

TK seems to use straight price action coupled with a session target of 50 pips. Move stop to BE after 15 to 20 pips profit, and always considering S/R. A gimme exit is "bull eats bear" and vice versa if it is opposite the direction of your current position. This makes the most sense to me so far.

Here is something I have been looking at and has been fairly reliable at catching most of the move. Use a MTF 5 minute SAR .002, .2 and let it be your moving stop for a 2 min chart.

Here is a screen shot.
and the indicator I coded last week.

Hi, After looking at all the links supplied by Lill I can't help but feel that should TK ever try to sell the system he would have very few customers as it is readily available free. As far as the charity donations are concerned, there are plenty of worthwhile charities in any town, just give something to them, problem solved. All the best for the new year PS does anybody know why this post is all squashed together ? and how do I get it spaced as written ?
