I cannot suggest a setting for the 1m TF. The system I am working with uses the 5m TF.

I'm +35 but should've been more as I'm lacking confidence due to being unsure of the settings being right for my 1 min tf.

Great job!! Do that every day and look out Warren Buffett!! Love the system. Very simple yet effective. One thing I did was to put on XPMA with standard settings. Seems to smooth things out a bit. Take a look and will be interested to see what you think.

I am looking for a audible alert for the Slope indicator. I thought the one attached would be it but I cannot get it to work.

That was M5 chart of eurusd between 05:25 and 09:20 gmt +2.

15:36 gmt in 1 min tf just took another +4 looking for the larger moves with my system but accepting scalps when the move doesn't continue.

With my normal trading method I'd still be in. I trade US30 normally. I'm just grabbing a few scalps until a major fulcrum develops in the 1 min tf
Also I know how fx likes to come off round figures or just eaither side where stops are.

I'm wondering, has anyone experienced whipsaw?

I wouldn't be surprised if there were whipsaws a plenty on the 1m timeframe but I jumped in for a few trades 3 or hours ago on the 5m on EURUSD, EURJPY, USDJPY and GBPJPY and made 120 pips or so. I always wait until the second candle being aligned and will probably start restricting my trades dependant on which markets are open. Just have a look at the last 3 hours of activity on the EURJPY, flat as a pancake.

I also can't get the slope direction alert indicator to make any noise either, maybe on of the local code gods can have a look into it, *cough* ronald *cough*. Pretty Please

Unfortunately, I can't code indicators very well yet. Still learning.


I did however whip up a quick EA which looks for both the PSAR and SlopeDirection to have the same direction before placing a trade.

You can choose the timeframe referenced for both the PSAR and SlopeDirection indicator. Also, as a quick note, you'll need this version of slope direction in your experts/indicators folder in order for the EA to work.

Keep in mind that if you just want the signals from the EA, set SignalsOnly to "True" and pick whatever combination of signals you so desire.

with the 5 and 15 min MTF SAR attached looks good
