So after playing with Forex for a while, I am starting to get very interested in stock trading. I was just wondering, how hard is the transition from trading forex to trading stocks? Do similar technical analysis techniques that work for forex also tend to work for stocks?

I did the opposite, I gave up on stocks and came to forex. I will still trade a stock now and again, a fund here and there, though in my opinion... forex is as pure a market as any. I have found that technicals dont work as well with stocks... this is mostly because of gaps.

You trade large cap stocks?

Be careful.... keep in mind that although you can trade the forex by shorting, with stocks, some do not all shorting and those that do, limit the shorting, i.e. 200 shares at one time which means you make money when the stocks go up....not down like in the forex.

I was a really big stock trader before being won over by the forex. Stocks seem boring to me now and with all of the scandals, crooked accounting practices, bankrupt companies... it gets scary trading stocks. I feel like I am in the big leagues compared to the stock market.
