Guys I've posted this elsewhere as I'm willing to $$$.

I'm after a commerical grade qaulity EA and willing to pay good money. However the author needs to provide forward testing results from a live account.

- must have excellent modelling quality
- wins 75% of trades or can minimise lost trades
- keep drawdown to a minimum
- safety and consistentcy is the key not outright profits
- provide live account balance of performance

I know I'm going to get flamed but I'm not a programmer or have the time and resources to trade 24/7. And I'm well aware of scammers. If you are a commerical seller simply PM me for discretion.

Any recommendations welcome!

Keep this fact in the back of your mind. I can produce a MetaTrader statement that will look perfect. The problem is I produced it. All Metatrader statements can be edited to show a great result. With a little practice you can make a very good looking statement. I can cover the little things like having less digits in the account number on IBFX to make it look like a live forward test as well as keeping the tint format on every other row. I am not stating any one does this just that it is possible. Use extreme caution when evaluating commercial EAs. Many EAs can show a honest profit for a 2 month period and still fair very badly over an entire year.

Read this thread http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=17860 . A couple of the EAs mentioned are well thought of but did not work well for one of our members. I don't know the member personally but you might want to PM him before laying out a grand or more for any EA. There are other members of the forum that are selling EAs. I do not want to imply any of them are dishonest. Some of the commercial EAs may be quite profitable. I think there are EAs created and posted for free here on FF that may be profitable over the long term.

Hi,

Im currently developing an EA which I hope could be a commercial grade EA that performs as you described. But right now its still being forward tested, and yes live. After a few months of forward testing and the EA proves itself worthwhile then I'm sure to let you know.

By the way why don't you try pipboxer v2?

why would I want to sell? In other words: an EA needs constant revision and update to keep it up to date and along the profit expectations. What you will get is an EA that used to work in the past..

That is the challenge of making a commercial grade EA, The strategy must work even during market changes. Also you have to take into consideration the people buying your EA could have zero knowledge about optimization and such so you must also eliminate optimization altogether. so fixed stops is not the way to go, even indicators must be dynamic, settings must change as the market changes(that is if you plan to use indicators). EA must also be idiot proof in order to become a good commercial EA so almost no external variables except how much they want to risk.

Anyways thats how I see it and thats what im trying to create. Its not simple but im the guy that believes anything is possible.

well, I wouldn't buy it. I do believe that there can be and there are profitable black box EAs but if you want to use someones else system why not deposit your money in a hedge fund with a good track record?
