Just a note and chart of mine...I have changed the fxprime settings a little, but I really like that finally with the Double CCI with sma is terriffic for getting an exit strategy together...notice the cross at the highs early this morning, as well as the cyan dot as well...cool.

Interesting change to FX-V2. Looks like the cyan dot denotes entries. Is that what you had in mind? Could you list your chages?

Yes you are right there is a wealth of information, but we are not focusing on FX-50 which is the new fxprime v1 and v2 and , oh well maybe it is a free for all and any one can post what they want.
Let me say this, the template I have on post 1 works great for me. The problem with traders as they are all in search for the holy grail which does not exist, they try system after system and fail, the reason they fail is they don't stick with one system and learn it enough to be a successful. It is like a disease. Traders spend more time searching for the system that produces 100%.

This is why traders fail, for one it not just the indicators that make you a good trader. It is you the trader and the commitment and the hours of analyzing charts, knowing how a certain pair reacts to situations, and price movement, and how news events effect the market, what time to trade and your emotions that get in the way when you trade live.

These are just a few things you need to have to be a good trader the rest is instinct. I have been trading for 4 years, and still make mistakes, but when I do I move on, it is in the past, so then I wait for the next trade.

Damn true mate...thats why I don't test and change indicators all the time anymore. We like complicate instead of holding to one system wich works fine...

Agree this thread is getting a little confusing to follow due to the number of different setups on show!

But have to say it is natural to want to refine/customise ones setup. Personally for now I'm not using 89/21 or 170/34 - but the posts here are still relevant and very very helpful.

fxtrading24 it's your thread so you call the shots on it's topics of discusion. Totally see the point about having one system and learning it inside out - and as a side note that there IS much more to success in this occupation than the system you use.

So perhaps a bit more focus on the original setup is needed, it works and is a fantastic system to learn and study. Though that's not to say that everyones various contributions so far are much appreciated.

Thak you for you rcomments. I guess my point is when we change the settings you do get different entry points but still no matter how you change the settings you are still going to have bad entrys, just in different market conditions. That is why it is so important to know the pair you are trading and how it reacts the indicators can ony give you an idea where the market might go, it is you that determans weather to trade at that point in time..
