This pic was my 90 pip trade couple of hours ago. Price action crossed down the SMA just a little and then was heading back to the SMA when I got the bull eating bear candle just off the SMA. The question is, at the eating time the bull candle didnt really cross the SMA to the direction of the trade....it was just 'half...
It does not matter which side of the SMA price is, just at or near. Obviously you do not want it too far on the wrong side of the SMA but a little is fine. In your trade I would have been cautious of that lengthy sideways movement and prob stayed out but it worked out well for you. Congrats

I get that. What I was saying is that after a bear candle that lets say is 10 pips hi- lo. You put your buy stop +2 from the high, but the spread on e/j is 4-6 pips. The bull candle begins to move up triggering your buy stop, but you have not completely eaten the bear candle because the candles are based on the bid price. So my question technically was do you enter at +2 on the bid. I personally think it's important.

Hello TK, great concept Thanks for this. Here is a trade I took on EJ.
Short at the brick red line. I openend two positions and one was closed just a few minutes into the trade at tp.. other is left open.

Is this right?

I would think this is self explanatory. Its price that we focus on, when price passes the previous candle by 2 pips we are triggered. So logic tells us that we will have to add our spread to that when buying, otherwise price will not have created a signal

So I woke up early today for some reason only to find 1 of my monitors has decided that its life is now over, looks like I'll have to make do with my laptop as my second monitor today.

On a brighter note, I just ordered myself 2 new 22" monitors should be here in 24hours they say.

On an even brighter note, Mikep has just sent me an amazing addition to this thread. We will test it properly before posting it but I am loving it so far.

Hi magicchance,

I have a couple of scripts that i found in one of these forums, this would be helpful to this thread and you.

To adjust the lot size you would need to go to the meta editer and adjust the parameters to your lot size level. The image explains it all.

After that just complie the script in metaediter and you are ready.

These scripts will allow to place direct orders without the window popping up.

Pips below and above are your SL and TP set it to what you want, the spread might be included i am not sure play around with it and you will find out your self.

Remeber this is a script file and should be placed in the script folder of your metatrader program.

I hope this is helpful to you and this thread.

Technically valid, I actually took that 1 myself for a 22pip loss

however right before that the e/j gave me 40 so its all good. The g/u is this mornings pip winner though and with plenty of entries for everyone.

I will note though that the sidewinder could have kept you out. I do not have it on my chart by will be giving it another look this weekend to see about the ratio of 'saving you' or 'keeping you out of a winner' it provides

Hi.
First thanks for shearing this with us.

I have a Q for you.

In post nr. 1 you say that bull eat bearish and vs.
You also say that it have to be whole candle incl. wicks and so.
Its what called bearish engulfing or bullish engulfing.
But on the chart you put up look at post 15.,
I see your entry is 2/3 below bull candle. But as I see it the bearish candle does not cover the wicks.??

What is it that I have miessed about this.
Sorry for asking , but I am Danish so sometimes I dont understand all I read.

If you have time could you pls. bring me some liht.

Your "SDX-TzPivots" indicator may have a wrong setting. Here is what my chart looks like. See the yellow colored part.

Are these both valid entries? The 1st one after a some congestion and a doji would make me doubt a bit. Can you please confirm, tkpower8?
